Remarks

The college was quite good and decent located in the best area of Kolkata admission process is also very simple the college admin are polite and gentle they help you in every step of your admission I choose this college because of decent fee and also the college reputation is good located in the best area of Kolkata.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

I am taken computer science engineering because I have interest on computer and codings and I am also good at my school in computer . And our college faculty is also very good they are very friendly and decent they are well educated to teachers. They are also taking monthly exam for our progress the paper is quite difficult but if you are studying well you can easily clear that one

Internships Opportunities

4

It`s all about one or two students doing the 10–15 page assignment and the rest of the class copying and compressing that to 2–3 pages just for the sake of 5 marks that are given by teachers on these things. Even teachers know this thing pretty well, still they enjoy the pattern and like to collect the heap of assignments. I learned nothing from those assignments. By God's grace and real study, I have been performing far better than those who use to submit the assignment daily on time.

Placement Experience

4

In Dr. MSIT College, around 60 to 80 seats are available for mechanical engineering every year. For freshers, the highest package offered is Rs. 20,000 per month, the lowest package is Rs. 10,000 per month, and the average salary is Rs. 12,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are TATA Group, Hyundai Motors, Yamaha, Infosys etc. 90% of students got internships. As our college is a government college, it helps poor students study engineering and become successful in life with a yearly fee ..

Fees and Financial Aid

My college semester fees are 50000 and it's quite decent for my course I don't have any scholarship my father is a government employee we are quite capable of pay for my college fee and the college campus in is also good they give it nice campusing and you can also get a scholarship by scoring good marks in jexpo

Campus Life

4

The classrooms are large and well-maintained. Electricity is available 24X7, but there is no Wi-Fi in our college because it is a government college, and the budget is not sufficient. Labs are good, but the technical equipment is average. The library is good, and it provides books to students every semester. Hostel facilities are average. The quality of food in the mess is good. There is no canteen in our college, but a lot of food stalls are available in our campus area. Sports and games facilities are not good.

Hostel Facilities

4

There is a provision for accommodation outstation students’ in the students’ hostel. Several annex buildings are allotted for Principal's quarter, two Boys? hostels, one under construction Girls? Hostel, staff quarters, students? canteen, separate common rooms for boys and girls, gymnasium, cheap canteen for students and teachers etc. The students from distant areas are provided with a hostel facility. Hostel facilities exist for the students and are also being enhanced for female students. Such an infrastructure can be better harnessed for disseminating higher education to the surrounding hinterland. And in 2013 a Seminar Library has also been started in the student Hostel with a small number of text and reference books. A Boys’ Gym also exists beside the Boys’ Hostel.

Interview Experience

4

Internal examination is of continuous evaluation type based on the guidelines set by the Academic Council. It carries 40 marks and a student is required to obtain a minimum of 16 marks for each of the courses. A student is required to opt for one of the two options for their internal assessment namely A or B. A student can opt for option B for not more than 50% of their courses (both inclusive).

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
