Remarks

I applied for all the IITs and NITs and I got my college according to my preferences. minimum 75% in 12th board and above 90 percentile in jee mains and below 10,000 ranks in jee advance. It was done by Jossa in 6/7 rounds.

Course Curriculum Overview

I got this course by preferences filled and according to my rank. Faculties are good n cooperative. Teachings are pretty fine. continuous evaluations are done and You need pretty good problem-solving skills and good conceptional knowledge about the topics to score well.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I have no great knowledge regarding this.but yeah i can say that interships are good here.Students do get a lot of intership opportunities from 2nd year itself..No idea about the companies.Pre placement offers are also provided to students here.

Placement Experience

From 6th sem onwards student becomes eligible for placements. many tech giants like Amazon, Microsoft, Flipkart, etc visit the campus every year for placements. The highest packages is around 1.2crores and the average is 15lakhs/yr. Around 85% of students get placed.I am also going for software profile jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is the same as all other IITs.(approx 3,00,00/- /yr).and the college provides study loans for students too.Till yet iam studying so not got the job.And iam not receiving any scholarship or financial assistance from college.

Campus Life

Fests are awesome.2 big fests along with many small fests are conducted throughout the year. yeah pretty much all needed books are available in the library or we can issue it to study in our rooms.The classroom is the same as in colleges with bench tables, blackboards, projectors, etc sports, and extracurricular activities are an integral part of life here. pretty much every sport u can play here and all resources are available to develop your skills. There are many clubs and groups u can take part in.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms have bed, chair,study table,a lamp. Meal menu is of decent type. fees are taken with admission fees for each semester. the good thing about the hostel is we get single rooms.-Guards are there for safeguard of students.

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

The placement of Assam engineering College is average as compared to the other colleges like iit and not. Aec gives placement around 20-24 lakhs and many company parts in the placement cell and many of the students get their dream job

Placement Experience:

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

Charmingly Challenging Champion

Placement Experience:

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I chose IIT Guwahati because of a strong IIT brand , excellent placements and comparetively lower fees. Compare to other IIT's it provied good campus expreience and less academic pressure. Compare to other NIT's , private colleges ,IIT Guwahati stands out in every fields. If one coudn't make it too higher IIT's it's because of not elegible after the JEE advanced rank as competition is very intense. Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
