Remarks

I applied in various colleges during my admission process. Some were in the south and some were on north campus. But the best college which I got was Sri Venkateswara College. The cut-off for UR category was 73%. There were many faculties during the admission process and everyone was handling their respective work. There was no chaos at all. At first, I went to a room and got my documents verified. And then they sent me to the head of the department to get a signature and then the admission process was finished. After few days I got a link of the fee registeration my registered mobile number. I paid it and got a slip i.e. acknowledgment slip. It is one of the best colleges of DU be it in infrastructure, faculties, societies anything. Everything is very good. There is a small temple of venkateswar god. Anyone can visit there. It is such good college and it was my dream college also.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this subject because I was very interested in languages so I chose sanskrit over any foreign language. I also wanted to know many things about our history. And it is helping me so much. The student-teacher ratio is very friendly. We can ask numerous questions and they explain it very well. The faculties here are very much qualified. My HOD has done P.hd in Sanskrit and many teachers have done PG. Teachers give us assignments and projects. There are 2 exams in 1 year and if we study carefully and listen to teachers advice tgen we can surely pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

If I talk about the internships that are offered by our colleges then there are various companies that come in here for interns. We can easily apply it and then we are given a certain project to start with. First of all there are some easy projects and then after 1 month, we get to do a little harder one. The stipend over there is also very good.

Placement Experience

4.5

In Sanskrit also people are eligible for jobs. There are no of companies and internships for you if you are willing to do so. And the package is also very good. Minimum it is 3 lakhs per annum and maximum it is 7 lakhs. And it can exceed also. In our colleges, many reputed companies like Accenture, Deloitte, Wipro, byjus, extra marks, KPMG, etc have come. And they also recruit a no of students. There js a minimum eligibility criterion which you have to clear and then you are able to crack the tests which are offered by the companies. And it is preferred to sit in the placement after 2nd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no hike in the fees. The fees over here is very minimal. I think less than many colleges. And there are many scholarship programs if we want to enroll in them we can easily do that. And there are numerous job oppurtunities and internships provided by our placement cell. The internship period is between 3-6 or if we want to do more then that is also there.

Campus Life

5

As I said earlier the infrastructure is very good. The library and sports ground are especially the ones I would like to mention. It is very huge. The library has a number of books in each section be it Sanskrit, Hindi, biology, history or any other thing. The classrooms have more no of benches and desks than the student so we can easily study over here. And also there are very good societies here. I am in my dramatics society for 3 years. And the experience I got from here is beyond words. Besides this, there are a dance society. In dance society, there are 3 types of socoeties which are classical semi classical and western. These societies take part in various fests of DU and IPU. We have a no of wins also. Our college's fest is NEXUS. It is one of the famous fests of DU. Many artists have come over here. Like a local train, yellow diary, Ankit tiwari, sunidhi chauhan, shaan etc.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
