Honestly review of GEU

The location of the college was same as my home town. There were also advertisement on newspaper about good campus placements in the college. Getting admission on private college is not a problem. I got admission 2 days after semester was started and the size of my class was 99 students. I even got a scholarship of Rs 15000 per semester.

Course was standard, nothing was too special. Faculty were good, course was finished on time. We were provided all the notes and important subjects like DAA, OOPS and Data Structure had extra classes but the only issue was the question papers which we faced in mid sems and final sem were not new the questions were repeated so to me it felt like lazy work.

No internship opportunity given by college. There was actually one internship on IOT held during our vacation but there was no instructor we just had to Google stuff make a product and if it works then a certificate was given to us. The one to judge the project was also our college teacher so everyone was given a certificate.

Everybody is placed in mass hiring companys on day zero of placement season. The interview are relatively easy and If you have basic knowledge regarding your subject you can crack the interview. But it doesn't matter weather you are from mechanical or civil or electrical you will be sitting for IT profile where you will be most probably selected and once you are selected you will not be eligible for other companies unless the difference between package is Rs 2,00,000 even if that company is your core company.

For us (2016 admission) for odd semester fee was 1,20,000 and for even semester 1,09,000. 5000 was secured which was refundable but it is still not refunded to me yet(4th March 2021). I scored 96 masks in jee 2016 and got a scholarship of 15000 per semester. But on 2nd semester you have to deposit full fees and the scholarship (15k in my cases) will be deposited into your account after graduation which is still not refunded to me.

Campus was good. It had all the basic facilities which one can think of. There were dance and music clubs but I didn't had time to interact as I was a day scholar and my classes were from 9-5. It had a good library with books to prepare for gate or aptitude /verbal English exam. Classroom didn't have AC which was expected give the fees one was paying.

No exam was taken. I was just taken to admission office asked which course I want to join and got admission. No other question was asked. I just had to deposit the fees before start the class. The counselor said all the other documents I can submit by the end of the week.
