NIT Agartala is an awesome college to get admission

I had applied to KIIT University but did not attend this college due to bad financial condition. After that, I cleared the JEE MAINS Exam in 2017 and got admission to the National Institute of Technology Agartala. I did not avail any special category (quota) for admission. But there are some reserved seats for the state quota in every NIT. So I got the advantages of this state quota. The Minimum Marks required to get admission to NIT Agartala is 75% for General candidates and 65% for SC/ST Candidates. JOSAA conducted counselling for admission in various NITs and IITs in India.

I chose B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering because I had a keen interest in Electronics topics in Class XI and XII. The faculty: student ratio in our department is 1:40. The highest Qualifications of most of the facilities is PhD and M.Tech. Their teaching method is very nice. The faculties are so good at teaching. There were two term exams that are mid-term and end-term exams conducted every Semester. These exams are easy to pass for a good and moderate student. But if a student doesn't study regularly and doesn't concentrate on the lectures provided by the faculties then it will be so much difficult for him to pass the exams. Some students also got year back for their bad performance in exams and low attendance in the classes.

There are some opportunities for an internship too. Most of the students can avail the internship offer in the 3rd year. The Final year students can also get the opportunity of doing an internship. All the branches have their Final year project in their 7th and 8th Semester. The guidance for the project work is also good.

The Final Year students are eligible to sit for campus placements. There is also some internship opportunities for the students. Many renowned companies visit the campus for placement drive and hire so many students. Some of the companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, LTI, Cognizant, Oracle, Alstom, Vedanta, L&T, Reliance, Capgemini, TATA etc. Due to the COVID-19 situation all over the world the some of the Core companies didn't visit this year. But most of the IT companies have visited the campus and hired most of the students. CSE has the highest number of placements followed by ECE, EIE, Electrical. The placement of Civil, Mechanical, Chemical and Production became less last year because most of the famous core companies didn't visit. Almost 200 students have placed in several companies. Some of the students got more than 1 offer too. The average package varies from 4 to 5 LPA. The highest salary package in the last year was 15 LPA. I got placed in DNJ Infotech and will do this job.

The normal fee structure for the B.Tech course is approximately 70,000 per Semester. But there is some financial assistance to comparatively poor students too. The students whose family income is less than 1 Lakh per annum have to pay 6,000 on average per Semester and the students whose family income is between 1 Lakh and 5 Lakhs have to pay 27,000 on average per Semester. There is also some opportunities for the students to get Scholarships like the Ishan Uday Scholarship for the students of the North-Eastern region, SC/ST Scholarships. There is also a very good opportunity for campus placement in the Final year. Many students can get a good job in various renowned companies like TCS, Wipro, Oracle, LTI, Infosys, CGI, Cognizant, L&T, TATA, Alstom etc. I got a job opportunity in DNJ Infotech. The average salary of the campus placement varies from 4-5 LPA.

NIT Agartala has a very nice campus with a huge area. There are some beautiful buildings on the campus. All the departments have their own buildings. The life at the campus is very awesome and fine. The students can enjoy the campus to the fullest. The cultural fest or tech fest is conducted in this college every year in the month of March - April. There is also a grand library on the campus. All types of books which a student need for their Semester classes or education is available in this library. Every student can access the books from the library for free and they can renew every 6 months. The classrooms in all the departments are so good and the hygienic condition of the classrooms is also good. There is a projector in all the classes for showing the video animations too. The sports facilities and extracurricular activities of the students are very awesome. There is also a grand playground for playing. The students are involved in some clubs and social activities like Robotics Club
