Remarks

The admission was based on the rank of the DU JAT exam and the percentage in 12th board exams. My overall rank was 1311 in du jat after considering both du jat and 12th boards. At first, I took admission to ECO Hons in Deshbandhu College but there the infrastructure was not that good. There was no ground. Then I got admission to Aryabhatta College in the 3rd admission list and I took admission here.

I took Business Economics because this was something a mix of BCom Hons and Eco Hons and we can go in both the streams for further studies and masters. The faculty is just amazing. The teachers are really helpful. The HOD Dhawan Sir also takes us on a trek every semester.

Internships Opportunities

Placement cell is actively giving internship opportunities to the students. There is an internship fest too in the college and many companies came to offer an internship. Companied like Urban company, Vedantu came to offer a paid internship.

Placement Experience

The placement cell recently started becoming active and companies have started coming to our college for placement opportunities. Students become eligible in their last sem for the placements. The average package is about 3-4 lac.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very minimal. It is around 25000 for one year and there is no fee hike in 2 years. Though 25000 is a little bit more as compared to other du colleges still it is very cheap than any IP College or private college.

Campus Life

We have our annual fest every year in the college and famous singers are called in the fest. All the amenities like library, sports equipment and 2 canteens are available. There are several college societies too.

I choose B.A from DU SOL because the course curruculmis exactly the same as regular DU colleges which gives degree strong crediblity for UPSC goverment jobs and further studies like M.A the syllabus is coprehensive and covers core subjects like histyory, poltical science and english litreature in detail

KMC and DU reality and my college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

BEYOND THE BOOKS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

DCAC- a summary of college life

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months

My first year experience
