Remarks
I applied for civil engineering at IIT Roorkee because the faculty of this college is very good for civil engineering. Yes, I am an SC student and I also got a seat in the SC quota. Age limit is not for admission in IITs and also for different college there is a different rank list provided and it changes year by year Counseling is conducted by JOSSA in 5 slots.
Course Curriculum Overview
IIT Roorkee is the first college of civil engineering that's why I chose civil engineering at IIT Roorkee. In my batch 192 student is their in civil engineering and there are more than 20 profs is provided and more than 10 assistant profs are provided. All the profs are the Ph.D. holder and the teaching skills is very good. All the prof is condition time to time quiz and exam in 3 month.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies are also coming for internships such as Amazon, Google, Edvizo, and many more companies also come. All the companies come for marketing, data scientist and codding companies are coming for intern and they provide a very good stipend for the students.
Placement Experience
In the last semester, students are eligible for applying for companies. Many companies are visiting our college for placement such as ONGC, Amazon, Flipkart, Textbook, and many more. The highest package is about 3-5 crore and the average package is about 3-5 lakh per year. There is about 70-80 percentage student is getting their placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is fixed for all the IITs (100000) one lakh and hostel fee are also is included and hostel and mess fee also different in spring and autumn session. There are many scholarships provided for the student by the institute such scholarship name as MSM, NSP, etc.
Campus Life
Thomso is the main fest conducted in the college. The name of the library is Mahatma Gandhi library in my college and in my college, more than 20 lakh books are provided. The classroom is in very good condition. All the sports are available in college and NSO is the club for the sports. For social services, there is also a separate club name of the club is NSS. There is more than 15 club is present for other activities also.
Hostel Facilities
In the first year, 2 students are sharing one room but in 2 years separate rooms are provided by the institute. The quality of food in the mess is good but not so good. In the first year, the hostel is provided by the institute but after 1-year students are allowed to choose their hostel themselves.
