Remarks

I've applied for Ramjas college too. But didn't get there due to a higher cutoff than that of mine percentage. And then I applied for this Motilal Nehru college. I didn't get any quota for my admission the reason was my category. All colleges of DU have a quota for students belonging to minorities as SC, ST, and EWS too. And also there are some colleges having reserved seats more than 50% for Sikhs. As I get into BA PROGRAM (Economics and political science) admission for each combination of BA program is done on the basis of marks obtained in the best four. And the cutoff varies from category to category. Admission was done in offline mode after releasing of cutoffs before the pandemic. But As I got admission in the last yr so the whole process was in online mode. It was quite easy you've to check whether you're qualifying the merit of your course or not and you've to enroll yourself on the UG admission portal as generated by DU itself.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I've science background upto 12th and I switched to BA because I've to prepare for UPSC and it'd a lot from humanities so I thought that it would be easier to deal with my prep. along with academics. When I get into this I found myself true as professors here provide us a broad idea about all things they taught us every topic with a 360-degree view. All faculty members are well qualified along with doctrate degrees they used their research work in teaching students, especially political science and economics. All DU colleges semester system it's not that much hard to qualify the exams it's all upto you with how much concentrating on what teachers are teaching. During pandemic, Delhi University is conducting OBE exams. It's quite easy to clear it. Only the thing is you've to keep yourself updated with guidelines provided by DU. In my course & combination, there're about 150 students enrolled. And classes are conducting in online mode and each subject is taught by two to three teachers

Internships Opportunities

4.5

It provides a lot of internships to the students along with LOR on completion and stipend to the best candidates. Internships in the companies such as Flipkart, Microsoft, webnell, universal tribes, and many more as I am not able to recall some names. I can provide details for some companies as I've done with.. Universal Tribes (Established in 2017) is an online platform where they provide a marketplace for tribal communities and artisans of India to sell their products globally which directly leads them towards the empowerment of their communities. They also have skilled artists and experienced farmers working along with them. Work profile as sales & Marketing. And other one is Webnell, Webnnel is the first of its kind fiction web-entertainment platform that publishes original E-Novels and E-Comic series. Founded in 2014 by Ms. Nikita Arora, the company is registered as Webnnel Pvt. Ltd. Webnnel publishes three seasons every year, i.e. winter, summer, and fall. Work profile as Creative Content Intern, Social Media Outreach Intern, Social Media Content Intern, B-B Marketing

Placement Experience

4

Placement cell is established 2-3yrs before and so many companies come to every yr for recruiting students from various courses. It has a great reach with good companies it also provides students with internships in fields such as social media marketing, content writing, and others also. The scope of the placement cell extends from organizing resume workshops to providing internships during summer and winter breaks also prepare students for the final placement for jobs. Reputed companies such as fluor India limited, Ernst & young, capital IQ,cians Analytics, AON Hewitt,Grail research along other companies have visited in previous years.

Fees and Financial Aid

As it is a govt. College so the fee is affordable in most of the colleges of DU. And also differs from course to course. Also, the college provides scholarships for meritorious students in every course. And the college has a placement cell. Every year 70% of the students get better placement.

Campus Life

4.5

Motilal Nehru College is located on Benito Juarez marg and is come along the south campus of DU. It has socities for an academic seminar, webinars and debating along with this it has cultural socities also as Abhivyanjana (debating, poetry and creative writing society ), Kritirang fine arts society, Electra western dance society, Aadhar and many more and occasionally fest are held by these societies. Apart from this college has it's own fully ventilated library having a rich collection of books, journals, and periodicals at present count, the college has 107586 volumes. Also, the college provides indoor and outdoor games facilities including NCC, NSS, and Airwing facilities. There is a lot of students led socities run under the guidance of senior professors. As it comes to infrastructure Motilal has a most loved *Sundari Chawk* and pahadi. It is the first preference of students in between the classes to sit there. Also a newly built block Jubilee block, every student desires to take class here.

Other Applied Colleges

Ramjas college, DU | BSc. Hons. Physics

Bcoz of comparatively high cutoff at DU due to a full-fledged demand for such courses.

D.S. college, Aligarh | BSc

Because I've to prepare for UPSC that's why I switched to BA at DU. And cancelled my admission there

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
