Remarks

Yes college is definitely good for those who are willing to learn and not running for the placements for management please have a good placement committee that form good relationship with multiple companies that can give a lot more exposure for your students.

Entrance Preview

I scored 119 in MH-CET and this college was my 7th option in list, being in other university i got selected in 1st round itself and had to select this college as first 9 options couldn't be skipped. Another reason why i select this college was fees and it was near to my home town.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As the college is affiliated with mumbai university the course curriculum was quite similar to the other college in mumbai university. We have 4-5 lectures monday to friday with 2 hour practical along with it. Course content is outdated which is problem in every Indian university. We had few college fests and competitions but not that much to hype for.

Internships Opportunities

No there was no internship facility. I would rather say in our time very few companies were visited our campus for recruitment. In that case our college has no exposure in real life scenario.

Placement Experience

1

Very few, there are branches like mechanical and electrical where companies keep on visiting every year but for other branches it is like nothing. Even the packages they offer is very low few companies that visit our campus are as below Finolex Industries, Toyo Pipings, Posco, Chowgule shipyard, Cummins, L&T.

College Events

3.5

Our year start with the Fresher's Party, then ganpati and navratri festival in college Hostel, then we have our annual event Utopia in Jan-Feb. we have sport events in cricket, football, athletics, kabaddi, basketball, volleyball. We have few paper presention, robothon events around the year and our year ends with the fare-well party.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible compare to other colleges in university. when i admitted in the college i had fees around 32 k and hostel fees around 15 k plus 1500 for mess which was compulsory for host-elites.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not that i know of. But yes for student having cast criteria fulfilled they can avail the less fees as per the govt norms.

Campus Life

2.5

Our year start with the Fresher's Party, then ganpati and navratri festival in college Hostel, then we have our annual event Utopia in Jan-Feb. we have sport events in cricket, football, athletics, kabaddi, basketball, volleyball. We have few paper presention, robothon events around the year and our year ends with the fare-well party.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel was 5km away from our college and located in the finolex colony we have bus facility on college time only and with times it was difficult to commute from hostel to the college.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network was not formed at our time but recently i heard that they are forming it we had good experience with our senior students.

Exam Structure

We were having 2 mid terms in every semesters and those marks were calculated in our internal assessment. The submission work was hectic and unnecessary. Few labs were good but most of them have outdated equipment. Few faculties were good with practical sessions but few were really mess.

Admission

This admission procedure was quite easy, first i got the intimation on my mail that i have got the admission to FAMT in CAP round 1.So then I visited the college where i got the brochure that has the admission form attached to it. I filled that form and submit to the respective authority along with my other necessary documents like Marksheets, domicile, and the DD of fees to be paid. thats it.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty in the college were in mixed age group. Few lecturer were just college pass out but there passion and enthusiasm was more than you expected. The experienced faculty was encyclopedia for the students however there was some communication gap between students and faculty members.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
