Remarks
I have applied for a BSc Hons in Mathematics. The admission was taken under the general quota. Admission to this college is strictly based on merit list. When I took admission cut off was 94.75. The best four subject marks are considered including main subjects. For taking admission one have to fill the admission form and get all the documents verified. My counselling day was good. There were teachers and volunteers who were guiding students in filling the form and explaining all the procedures about the exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was quite good in mathematics, therefore I opted to pursue BSc Hons Mathematics. There are more than 20 teachers in our department, the total number of students in our department are almost 200. Exams are held semester wise. Passing an exam is not difficult at all. About 60% of student scores more than 8 CGPA.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship companies. There are a few which I remember that is Wipro, TalentServe, Aashaa Foundation, KPMG, Girl up and many other NGOs. There are many internship opportunities for all year students. Candidate can enjoy work from home internships. Most of the internship opportunities provided are for content writing, graphic designer, web development, video editor and marketing.
Placement Experience
3rd-year students are considered eligible for the placement program. There are many consulting and tech companies that visit college every year. The highest package offered is 14 LPA. The average package offered is 7 LPA. The most visited companies are Wipro, Reliance Adani, Enactus. There are 150+ companies that visit our college. Mostly commerce students get placed and the College every year organise many workshops and CV building workshop to guide students and prepare them for industry-ready and placement process. The placement cell assists and introduces them to the detailed process of placement and internship opportunities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The average fee is 17-18k. The College provides partial or full fee concession to financially weak students. Meritorious and rank holder students are granted prizes. The prize ceremony is held annually. College also provides various internship and placement opportunities.
Campus Life
The campus is full of chaos. The annual festival held every year is named Manjari. There are a lot of celebrities who visit our College. Last year Mankirt Aulakh had come. The library of the college contains all kinds of books, journal, magazines and has good sitting arrangements, fully air-conditioned. The College has a big sports ground and a gymnasium. There is an excellent faculty for sports and College provides all the important sports equipment. There is a students union that works for the welfare of students. The president is really hardworking. The college has many societies which help in the overall development of students.
