Remarks
The minimum percentage for general students in my program was around 72%. I got admission to DRC in the first cutoff. I ask so applied to Gargi but it was too far away from my place. The minimum age for the program is 18. My admission process was like 2 hrs long and it wasn't easy.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have always wanted to go into the research field that's why I opted for this course. You'll find more girls in this course than boys. Teachers are highly qualified. Some are graduates of life sciences only, whereas some teachers are graduates of zoology, botany, and chemistry Hons., teaching zoology, botany, and chemistry respectively. Exams happen every 6 months plus internal/house examination. Sometimes the paper is easy but sometimes it isn't. The first semester is the easiest. I found the second semester difficult and the fourth was very interesting.
Placement Experience
DRC has a placement cell and you can find decent placement if you are serious enough. A lot of places are open for students from all years and programs. Companies offering part-time jobs come as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees were around Rs 18,000 per annum. I was never interested in scholarships so I never paid attention to it. Maybe some concession is given in fees, I'm not sure though. We have a placement cell which you can look up for jobs
Campus Life
The life on campus is brilliant. Our college is situated in the heart of the north campus. The Fest season is amazing. DRC organizes the best annual fest. The library is good. It got renovated and a new collection of books were added. You can join different clubs, sport communities, and societies, like the fine arts, fashion, poetry, music, dance, etc. society. Both Kamla Nagar and Hudson lane are very close.
