Remarks

I had applied to the School of Excellence in Law, Tamilnadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. The admission is based on one's 12th grade marks. Depending on the cut-off marks allotted for one particular year, students will be sent letters regarding the counselling day. Mostly there would be three counselling days based on the availability of seats. Those who had received high marks are allotted first counselling and so on. The cut-off varies each year. The admission form can be filled online.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The professors are highly qualified. As this college falls under the public sector, highly qualified and skilled teachers are appointed. There are more than 4000 students and it's completely a law based college. B.B.AL.L.B(Hons) is an integrated five year course, it incorporates both Bachelor's degree and law simultaneously.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are offered from companies like reliance. But most students prefer higher education and those willing to work starts as junior lawyers. We start interning from the first year of college moreover being a good lawyer relies on the talent and skill we develop during our education.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first year fee was 90000 ( approx ) for the general category. Whereas there is a concession for SC/ST. The fee gradually decreases for the following years, having a difference of about 5000 each year. There is the scholarship available for the first graduate in the family. The scholarship form is circulated every semester.

Campus Life

4.5

The classrooms are equiped with an AC and an projector. There is an online library in the campus - AIR CAFE. The students are also provided with a library card which they may use according to one's need. A whole block is specifically given for the library. There are NCC and NSS, that allows all first years to take part in events. Every year there is an anual event called Tantra where students exhibit various talents. And there is ethnic day and so on.
