Every thing is best in the college the only thing i think the college in-fracture should improve and placement cell.

IIT JEE my score was about 150 and i was not eligible for IIT JEE cancelling so after that i prefer this college.

Since this is one of the oldest college in india for marine engineering so course structure is very good practically and theoretically arrange every lab is equip-ed with latest and old technology the focus of course is more on gaining practical knowledge.

The course structure is such that there is internship on seventh semester on boars ship so a lots of different companies come in college for recruitment and stipend depend on company the average is 30 thousand.

The placement ratio is 70 to 80 percent students placed from college campus, companies come like shipping corporation of india, fleet management, nyk shipping, bw shipping, anglo estern, synergy maritime, dole shipping etc, the average stipend is thirty thousand.

Every year senior students organized an event called tempest it's content cultural, technical presentation and sports event in cultural program event like kolkata got talent, fashion show, dance show, metal band in sport event inter college football, basketball, cricket, bally-ball and table tennis.

Since it is a government college so according to this point of view the college fee is quite high this fee is equivalent to a good private college in india the total fee is 9 lakh of whole four years course and in addition they take exam fee separately and some other charges.

Shipping corporation of india give scholarship to all category economically weaker students state bank of india issue scholar loan to every student who take admission in this college.

Girls ratio is negligible in my college very few girls take admission in this college every year college senior student organize a inter college sports and cultural program every year 11.5 km kolkata marathon race organize by college authority.

Since college is very old so hostel infrastructure is not as good as it should be and mess is considerably good according to tuition and hostel fee it is not up to the mark but new hostel was in process when it will complete the accommodation problem and hostel in-fracture problem will be solved.

The college senior is like gordian in my college they help a lot in every aspect of life when ever we approach to senior they help always.

The exam is will managed some time but some time it's hectic lab is always good and saw the need of student and held classes like that like some extra class and in exam every thing come what we did in class but in main exam some papers question come unexpected.

I appear in IIT JEE and i drop a separate form for this college because this college was not take separate exam for admission they held cancelling from IIT JEE obtained mark and subject cut off but now this college taking admission from separate conducted test from 2013 onward.

The professor is well experienced and about every one is also a marine engineer so they know very well the toughness and softness of job how it will be on ship the faculties have very much practical knowledge and it help to understand by describing their practical encounter problem.
