Remarks
Admission is on a merit basis, there is no entrance examination system. The cut-off is usually around 94% for both Bcom and BA, but the college usually has multiple admission lists, so one can expect to get admission with 80% or more. Admission in the second year is a rather tricky process. It is conducted online. However, to get a specialization subject, you need to score enough marks for subjects including specialization are allotted on a preference basis. I did not avail of any quota as such but yes the college does have reserved seats.
Course Curriculum Overview
Learning can happen anywhere, anytime, and from anyone. The best thing about SCAC is that learning happens in very organic, effortless ways that you won't even realize. It definitely helps you widen your horizons and explore.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fees for a normal Bcom degree are somewhere around 25000 INR. I did not avail of any financial assistance or scholarship but yes the college does provides Scholarships to people who apply. I also didn't get any job as I didn't apply for it but yes college provides assistance for everyone who desires to get a job.
Campus Life
The college provides hostel accommodation to students but seats are limited. Pgs near the college is abundant owing to the presence of several colleges in the vicinity. This part of the city is very safe. The college canteen is reasonable and the good is quite good. Classrooms are not the biggest but seem to accommodate the average attendance on any day. The library is small but has a good collection of books and reference books. There is a reading hall which is a great place to grab some peaceful study hours. The college has debate clubs, drama circles. Students regularly organize several events such as SymBiz, TedX, Symagine.
