Best experience with the overall development of personality

The offline admission process is quite hassle-free. I have applied for Christ university as well but didn't take admission because of high fees and distance from my home town. For the admission procedure first, you have to fill a pre-merit registration form with a fee of Rs.500. The next step is to send the form along with the payment receipt to the college in Pune. The admission takes place based on the merit list - and there are approx 7 to 8 merit lists based on the number of students taking admission in each list. There are no criteria as such of age.

I choose BCom Hons. because I want to pursue my career in Finance. The faculty is quite good and they all are well qualified and experienced. They not only push you towards having better education but also to participate in extracurricular activities. They help in the overall development of the students. Semester end exams are of 100 marks which are divided into 3 parts (1) written exam of 60 marks (2) computer-based online MCQ of 20 marks and (3) assignments and presentation of 20 marks

College provides various opportunities for internships and gives credits for external opportunities. There is a credit system and for each internship done we get credit points if we apply for value addition credits, but we get the credits for internship only when we sit for an interview.

The students are eligible for placement from the 6th semester. Due to lockdown, there is a decrease in the number of placements but still, the college offers a good placement. Companies which have visited the college are Deloitte, Deutsche bank, northern trust, TresVista, credit Suisse, EY GDS and many more and the average package they offer is between 3.5 to 7 LPA. During the year 2019-20 the no. Of students who got placed we're 141 but due to the pandemic the number decreased to 70. The placement rate fell from 38% to 10%. The average package offered by the college is 4.15 LPA. The highest package was given by Deloitte USI and was for 600000 PA for the position of audit and assurance. Though the placement cell offers quite good placement opportunities, I wish to pursue MBA in Finance.

The fee structures are quite decent. The fees for 1st year us around 28000 and if you opt. for a degree with the honours program then there is a rise of 25000 in the fee. This three-year program can be completed for Rs.1.5 lakhs. The college offers different types of scholarships under various central and state govt. Departments.

The campus life is great. SYMAGINE is the annual college fest held by the students with the help of authorities and faculty. There are various other important events such as TEDxSCAC, SYMBIZ SUMMIT, SynchronisMUN etc. The library is well equipped and maintained. The college library provides previous year question papers according to the semester. Each classroom has smartboard facilities. The college has its Gym and various opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities.
