Remarks

I applied for the college of North campus but my percentage was not enough high, so can't make it. I applied both my OBC quota and Sports quota(swimming). Minimum marks vary year to year but on average for the general category cut off list ends at 93-94, for OBC it ends at 84-85, for SC/ST it goes below 75 and there is no age limitation. The admission process was simple as seniors voluntarily give their help to the newcomers and arrange every form for them. Counselling day was good, I personally got to know a lot about my college and college culture.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was always interested in Economics that's why. 1:50::Teacher: Students. Fully qualified, almost everyone was having a doctorate in their particular subjects. Teaching methods were helpful and useful, technology was in use and very practical ways were applied. Fully scheduled and on time every semester. Not that much difficult, if you have paid attention to lectures you can easily pass the exams by just revising them.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities were good, I must say better than placements and the type of internships depends upon personal interests and courses. During the course, one will get almost 7-8 projects as assignments which include surveys and presentations.

Placement Experience

3.5

Form 5th semester students became eligible for placements. Almost 8-10 different companies came in my year and on average offers were between 2.6-3.5Lpa, and the highest package was 6.2Lpa. The minimum percentage required for placements was 60% without any backlog. 30% placement record ( personal evaluation). I will be sitting in the MA entrance exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the first year I paid 12,000 INR including admission fees and deposit money(which will be refunded with the degree), in further years I paid 10,000 INR and 9,000 INR for the second and third years respectively. Many companies come for recruitment like Tresvista, KPMG India, KPMG Global, etc. with an average package of 3Lpa. Internship opportunities were also very high anyone can get an internship with an average 3-4k INR stipend.

Campus Life

4

Books were easily available. Good furniture and lighting along with fully working ceiling and wall fans. Cricket and football ground, badminton court, table tennis court, basketball court, Volleyball court, open gym. College teams used to go to tournaments. Dramatic society, Music society, singing society, dance society, poetry society, art society, English debating society, Hindi debating society, etc.[ Every society ]

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
