Remarks

Our campus was beautiful and each year got an award for being one of the greenest campus. Management was very strict about cleanliness and regularly painted the campus walls. Interiors and exteriors. We made many joyful memories here. Those 3 years were actually the best days of my life and made some wonderful friends for life.

Entrance Preview

We applied through the Common Admission Form issued by University of Delhi. So, I met the cut off and it to the first list.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course was detailed which covered Ancient Indian History, Medieval Indian History and World History. Structure was very apt and the assignments were very relevant to each semester and helped us to prepare better for our main exams. Our marks system was good too. The essay type questions had most amount of marks and was a great way to score in your paper.

Internships Opportunities

No not that I am aware of. . There were events for other courses like Retail Management , HR AND TRAVEL AND TOURISM departments. I believe they were helpful as our college was the only one with degree courses in the above mentioned courses. So jobs offering came flooding to such departments. I wished there were more outlets to such job fairs.

Placement Experience

3.5

We had few events like job fairs but not for our department. There were events for other courses like Retail Management , HR AND TRAVEL AND TOURISM departments. I believe they were helpful as our college was the only one with degree courses in the above mentioned courses. So jobs offering came flooding to such departments. I wished there were more outlets to such job fairs.

College Events

5

Our cultural society was very strong and very active. We had various societies like Drama Society , Music Societies, Fashion Societies, Dance societies, sports societies and Individual department societies. I was a part of our History Department Society , Fashion Society and Dance society. We organised various in-house cultural event and inter - college as well. Our Principal and Professors were enthusiastic participants as well and always encouraged various cultural and sport events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible. It was approximately Rs.2000-3000 per annum. The nominal fee structure helped many students get good education as students from different economic background could afford our college. This was a big boon. According to University standards the fees were kept nominal for all the courses offered in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware if there is any. There must be something introduced now as times are changing and technology as well. So, hopefully we get to loan systems fro everyone to afford education in our esteemed university.

Campus Life

4.5

We organised various in-house cultural event and inter - college as well. Our Principal and Professors were enthusiastic participants as well and always encouraged various cultural and sport events.Student diversity was large as we had students from all over the country and lot of foriegn students as well. Everyone participated in various events and parties. Our fresher's parties and annual functions were always something we looked forward to. I loved every bit of my college life.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

We did not have Hostel Facility. As other colleges we did not have any hostel facilities but there were private paying guests systems around the colony. The entire area or neighborhood was like a student's area. It was always buzzing and numerous book shops, eateries and stationery shops for the student's benefit.

Alumni/Alumna

They are defiantely helpful as we get to keep in touch with our fellow classmates and professors as well. We have an Alumni Page on FACEBOOK.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was brilliant as it gave us ample number of study leaves before and in-between exams dates. So, our preparations could be better and satisfactory. The time table were set as per our needs and requirements and it was very helpful. We as students needed enough time to cover our vast syllabus.

Admission

We applied through the Common Admission Form issued by University of Delhi. So, I met the cut off and it to the first list. Then we had a day for submission of our original documents and the department confirmed my admission. Then we were given a orientation date which we had to attend with our fellow classmates and therein we got that dates and our class routine as well.

Faculty

5

Our faculty was one of the best. The prime reason I chose CVS was for the faculty. Our Professors were highly qualified and experienced. They gave us the most valuable lessons and helped us as an individual to make our weaker points the strongest. Right from assistance in your assignments to answering our numerous questions doubts. Always enthusiastic.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
