Remarks

The percentage required to take admission in the Maths stream was 94%. I was able to take admission only when the 2nd cut-off was released with 93.5% for the general category. The two most important documents were the 10th and 12th mark sheets. That needs to be verified by the admissions in charge to get yourself enrolled. If there is any mistake in the mark sheet like any spelling mistake, one can sign an undertaking that one affidavit will be submitted soon by you. After paying the fee, the admission will be confirmed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculty: student ratio is 1:45. They are highly educated with a number of degrees, they have been appointed as an assistant professor in other colleges as well. They go to other colleges as a guest lecturer. For the Maths students, exams were taken twice in a semester once in the month of October (more like a unit test) and then in Nov-Dec. 2nd-semester exams are also taken twice in April and May.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

As I was a Maths student, I barely applied for the internship, though throughout the year one can get an internship, there is the number of NGOs that provides internship to almost all the students, some apply some don't. Some famous NGOs are sankalp, ummed, tulsi. Then companies such as younity, adore also provides internship opportunities with monthly stipends of 1000 - 10000 based on the performance.

Placement Experience

4

Anyone with good speaking skill and academic records can register for placement. Maths students generally do not go for placement. They are more focused on getting higher education. The top recruiting companies were Paytm, Wipro and there will be more I dont know much. And the best roles offered are in the field of finance and data handling. The highest salary package usually offered is 5-8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3-3.5 LPA. Around 25% of students get placement last year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the maths course is 18370 per year. The fee is quite in comparison to colleges like Hansraj, KMC, Hindu. The reason is DRC is a semi-government college. Personally, I was receiving a scholarship from a private organisation so I didn't gave any problem. There is no such scholarship provision, but the college provides some concessions for underprivileged students including the PWD. The PWD students have to pay around 100 per year. They receive scholarships from the government. They also have been given free computer classes. There are some private scholarships for girls and EWS students.

Campus Life

4

Every year in the month of February and March, the festival of fests begin and that's the best part of being in DU. Your life will start revolving around fest, assignments and exams. The fest brings with it fun, music, dance, concert. There are competitions, students from different colleges participate in competitions, win cash prizes. There are few classrooms quite big and airy. The campus has a Wi-fi connection. The library is under construction for the last 3 years but fully air-conditioned. There are many societies, clubs, students union that will do their best to develop one to the fullest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
