Remarks

Only limited seats are available for general category students. Half of the seats are reserved for SC/STs. If you have scored above 96% in the best 4 subjects, there are chances that you'll make it to SRCC. The admission process is easy, it's merit-based. A candidate has to get his mark sheets verified by the admission in charge. After verification, he/she has to pay a one-year fee, and admission is confirmed. After the admission is done, he has to fill a form choosing his generic paper. He can also fill a form for the college hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose economics because it offers numerous career options. SRCC also provides training to its students. There are a total of 15 faculty in the economics department with over 195 students. They are highly educated, experienced, and skilled. they know how to nurture one's talent. They are the true leaders of the students. Exams are taken twice a year. The First semester exams in nov-dec and the second semester In May- June.

Internships Opportunities

5

Economics students get a number of internship opportunities. These include posts like editorial head, graphic designer, finance supervisor. It is not necessary that the internship will be related to your field only.it can be from any field. The best time to apply for an internship is in June - July during vacation. NGOs like industries crafts foundation, Seva charitable trust, wake up India foundation, healthy Ninja, etc. They provide internship certificates and LOR also.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the Last semester, one can apply for placement. Placement depends on academic performance and the ability to speak. One has to develop a strong CV showing his/her talent and skills. The average salary offered was 10 lakhs per annum. The highest salary offered was 20 lakhs per annum. Many companies such as del, Bajaj, Mahindra, Wipro, levis come every year and recruits employees. Around 45% of students get placement every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee of 3 years is 45000 which is not so high as compared to the quality education SRCC has been providing. So there is no such fee hike. If one wants to avail of some scholarship, he can apply for the National scholarship portal. It provides scholarships up to 10,000 per year for the next 3 years. For the poor students, College provides concession.

Campus Life

5

Life at the campus is just amazing. Every year in the month of March, an annual fest is organized called crossroad. It's totally free for SRCCians but other college students have to buy passes. The fest included concerts, DJ night, fun, food, games, competition. There are many clubs, societies, organizations like NSO, NCC, NSS. They organize the competition, events, Diwali meal, and all throughout the year.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
