Atul Parihar's Review On Army Institute Of Technology - [AIT], Pune

Exam given was JEE, Marks scored - 95/360. As i father was in army and AIT is a college for students belonging to army background.

The course follow the structure laid down by the Savitribai Phule Pune University. It focuses on the subjects related to our branch and also provides students to also choose subjects. During the first year all the branches learn the same subjects. We learn subjects according to our branch starting from our second year.

Yes our college provides internship. Their is no stipend given. It is a one month workshop in the Army Workshop.

Placements is pretty much better than other colleges in pune. Last year 275 wers placed out of 289 who registered for placements. Many companies came for placements such as Com Vault, Myntra , Amazon , Bosch, TCS and many more. Packages offered vary from company to company. Their are offers varying from 12 Lac per year to 2 Lac per year.

As their are many clubs in our college so their are many events organised in the college. Their is a inter college fest and sports event called Akriti and Pace. Then their are intra college cultural and sports event also. All the festivals are also celebrated in the college.

The college provides many scholarship. The AGIF, under which every top 14 students of respective department are given an amount of ₹ 40000/- at the end of every year. Also their is PM scholarship under which students whose parents are Army veteran is given an amount of 25000/- per year.

The gender ratio is poor ,as in every batch of 300 their are about 50 girls and the rest are boys. Their are many sports activities such as basketball, footbal, squash and may more. Also their are clubs like robotics, fine arts, OSS etc.

The best part about our college is the link we have with our seniors and alumni. Every year we have Alumni meet n we get to meet alot of our seniors Including alumni of the first batch and we learn alot from them.

Exam structure is followed that of University of Pune. Exam structure is different for every year. For first and second year students their is online as well as written exams but for third year and fourth year their is only written exams. The online exams are of 30 marks and written is for 70 marks. Each semester is of 750 marks divided into 5 subjects.

Admission process was based on merit list which was prepared by the college based on our JEE ranking. Its was a one day process. My admission was on the third day as per my merit list number. First of all i filled up a form containing my details. Then i had to submit all my marksheets and my father's documents related to army. After that there was verification of these documents.

Faculty of the college is very good and helps in every aspect such as academics and even help students in dealing with their personal problems if students are willing any such help. They also provide students with research papers and projects. Also give students funded project.
