IIT-JEE 2016 , AIR 6629 , IIT guwahati is a college. It has its name and fame. So i chose it because it has all the facilities like co curricular and has a beautiful campus to stay at.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure goes as in this , in the very first year they provide you slight knowledge of all the fields of engineering , and from the next year each student studies for the specialisation in his or her stream . The research opportunities in the college are nice , you can take projects under professors and might opt for further study in the that field by taking free electives in that course.
Internships Opportunities
Yes , they provide internships. But i do not have knowledge about the areas in which they provide it or what stipend they give in return.
Placement Experience
The placement and job opportunities in the campus placements are good as most of the graduates get a decent job before leaving the campus . The jobs offered are mainly in the non core sectors as the craze to do core jobs has tremendously went down in last few years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers many scholarships fort those in need. The scholarship are mainly given on caste basis as most of the scholarships are availed by the SC and ST candidates. There is mainly a scholarship named "merit and means scholarship for.
Exam Structure
The exam structure here at IIT Guwahati, has mainly two exams per semester between these 2 major exams there are two quizes also for continous evaluation of the students. The main two exams are the mid semester and the end semesters .The labs and exams end up taking half of the time at college .
Faculty
The faculty in the college is very well updated and dynamic in their respective fields. They not only find great interest in teaching but at the same time are indulged in some form of advanced research works. The faculty members try hard to imbibe a research environment in the college.
