Admission in humanities courses is based on 12th results. The cut off for the general category students is 93%, for obc it's 90% and for SCs/STs are 88%. Students have to get verified 10th and 12th mark sheets. After verification, one has to submit two hard copies of both the mark sheets and two passport size photographs. After confirmation, one has to pay the fee and admission is done.

I chose geography because it's a scoring paper and I can keep it as my optional paper in the civil services examination. Our college has only 68 seats in the geography department. And there are a total of 10 Professors, the faculty: students ratio is 1:6. The teachers are extremely well mannered and interactive, they know how to make someone extrovert, they are highly educated and knowledgeable. Exams are very regular. During the covid pandemic, even exams were taken, although it was an online examination.

Throughout the year, you will get internship opportunities but if you want to build your cv, I'll recommend doing internships with NGOs. These are sankalp, umeed, muskurahat and more. If you want to pursue a career in the commercial field, internships with companies such as ADORE, unschool are highly recommended. They offer the post of campus ambassador, campus associate, HR, sales manager etc

There is no such placement for geography students in their field. But if one has good speaking skills and communication skills, he/she will easily get a package of around 5 lakhs per annum. The highest salary package usually offered is 10 lakhs per annum for commerce students. Companies that visits every year are bajaj, kenstar, hp, Paytm and more. They offer the post of sales manager or HR. Around 50% of students from the commerce department got a job.

The annual fee is 7,000. So the total fee for 3 years is around 21,000. This is not really high when it comes in comparison with other private institutes. There is no such scholarship provision for the students but they can avail an amount of 10,000 every year for three years from the national scholarship portal. There are many other scholarships also provided by the private institutions, which provides around 30,000-40,000 per year for three years.

Euphoria is the Annual fest of our college. It lasts for three days and organised in March. It is a bundle of games, music, dance and fun. Other than this, Vasundhara is the departmental fest of the geography department. You will have the best three years of your life in SBSC. There are several departments, societies, cells and organisations. It includes theatre, debating society, dance society, NSO, NCC, NSS. NSS is one of the most engaging organisations in our society.
