Good Aspects and Reasons I preffered it over colledge and branch: 1) IITG is one of the top 7 IIT's in India. 2) Great Professors. 3) Great Course Curriculum. 4) Placements Statistics are really good. 5) One of the beautiful campus in India.Bad Aspects: NoneAdmission Process: Admission is based on the JEE Advanced Rank, After you are selected for enrollment, it is a one day process. 1) You have to present all the details and certificates (bring the original copies of each certificate, will not be submitted but they require it to cross check) in front of the registrar.2) You will then be required to get yourself clicked for the (Recent photograph) ID and Medical book purposes.3) After that you can simply submit the fees for the first semester, options available are - directly through bank, UPI, Cards, etc.4) You will then instantly be registered, expect to recieve the ID card and other required documents within a week.

I was always interested in computers and softwares and that finally led me to took me to crack JEE and take admission in IITG CSE.In IITG CSE Branch - The faculty : student is nearly - 28 : 88 = 7 : 22The Professors here are great, and very qualified. You can expect almost any professor to be the subject matter expert that they will be teaching, They either have Phd in that, or that subject is a part of their research interest. Most of the professors teach through slides, but will chalk-board when required.Exams consists of quizzes(>=2)(easy-to-medium difficulty) , midsems & endsems (medium-to-hard difficulty). The exams are evenly distributed throughout the semester.

I did my Industrial Intenship at Oracle for Member of Technical Staff Role. Worked on building a Archive Reader Assistant apploication from research.Internships are scheduled for your 3rd year and the selection is done similar to as the placement procedures. Companies visit with different profiles and stipends and based on your performance in the online coding and interview rounds, you're selected.Top companies include - Google, GS, Uber, Amazon, Oracle and many more.

Placements and Job Opportuunities are good too. Nearly or more than 300 companies visit for placements and offers are made depending on you interview performances.For more details of the placements and packages offered you can refer to the institute page or Glassdoor and Quora.I will be starting my professional journey with Goldman Sachs after the completion of the degree.

Fee Structure: Per Semester - Tution Fees - 100000 and Hostel and other fees - 18000 to 25000Financial Assistance - A financial assistance is provided on the basis of your father's annual income -1) income < 100000 - 100% off in tution fees.2) 10000 < income < 500000 - 2/3 rd of the tutions fees is off.But for this you need to produce your father's yearly income certificate each year by atleast a sub-divisional officer or IT return can do the job as well.Job Offer - Accepted Internship Offer - Oracle, Accepted Job Offer - Goldman Sachs (Stipend can't be disclosed, as per the company policies, but you can refer to GlassDoor or Quora for more information)

There are two fests each year one amonng them is the technical event called - Techniche (probably around aug-sep) and other is cultural event - Alcheringa (one of the biggest cultural event of the north india) (probably around feb-mar).Other than that there are many other events like - Udgam, Spardha and many more.There are a lot of clubs covering almost everything, just know that if you are interested in something however vague it may be you will find a lot of people having the same interests and thus, a club. Clubs are properly funded and are part of Student's Gymkhana and you can be a part of lot of activities and competitions throughout your college life.Sports and extracurriculars are great, Spardha, InterIIT, and many more. In first year. you will be given an outdoor sport to choose and you can start learning it, with proper coaches and what not.

My hostel was LOHIT.Hostel facilities are great, Rooms, Washrooms are clean, and a proper care of sanitization and hygiene are taken.Wifi and LAN will be provided in each room, with a table-chair, study-lamp and a bed.Mess food is as usual. Not so good but not so bad.You will be alloted a hostel and hostel room even before you will come for registration and so no further registration is necessary for hostel. You cannot opt for no hostel.
