I choose to pursue my Btech CSE from IIT Kharagpur as the institute was very popular and renowned for its various good aspects such as academic excellence and rigor, impeccable placements records, versatile faculty members, student-driven campus, comprehensive and challenging curriculum, rigorous training, etc. Admission for the BTech programme was done based on the valid scores in the 10+2 exams followed by the scores in JEE advanced followed by JOSAA counseling.

The BTech CSE programme had 8 semesters in which the curriculum was designed in a way that will develop and improve the students coding skills and computing skills. The core subjects and elective subjects demand rigorous training and the faculties are highly qualified and experienced who provide an invaluable knowledge about the course concepts. Most of the classes are held practically for a better understanding.

The placement and training cell at IIT Kharagpur is committed to provide good and lucrative offers to the students so the cell grooms the students in such a way that they become future-ready. In the last recruitment drive, almost 1000 offers were made, out of which 30 were international offers. The placements rate increased over the year and the students also got placed under reputed organizations with handsome packages.

The first year fee structure of the BTech is INR 82,070 and overall, it costs around 3.16 lakhs in total for 4 years which covers the tuition fees and other fees. However, the IIT KHARAGPUR has network with government agencies and tie-ups with banks to offer education loans and meritorious scholarships and need based financial assistance to the students who struggle to pay their fees.

The campus infrastructure of IIT Kharagpur is awesome as the infrastructural facilities enhance the students learning experience. The institute has a well-equipped computer center, digital laboratories, innovation centre, information centre, well-furnished classrooms with modern technological facilities, video conference facilities, canteen, cafeteria, residential hostels, mess facilities, 24x7 LAN connectivity, etc. Many clubs such as Dance, Music, Robotics, Art, etc are run by the students of IIT Kharagpur generating a plethora of opportunities for extracurricular activities.
