NICE COLLEGE WITH AFFORDABLE FEE.

Admission is based on JEE mains scorecard, further counseling is done in college. The college also offers lateral admission . The application form can be downloaded from the official website of THDC IHET or can be obtained from the college office. There are seats for SC, ST, OBC quota, and one can also avail admission with a fee waiver scheme in which they don't have to pay the tution fees that are around 60000 per year and are waived under that scheme. The one with the lowest rank having the best score in JEE mains is given the seat. There are around 3-4 rounds of counseling and the admission is given based on merit in JEE marks. There is no such requirement of minimum marks to get admission to a college or course.

I chose MECHANICAL ENGINEERING over other branches as my interest lies in machines. There are many brilliant faculties from IIT, NIT and they have good knowledge in their fields. There is one seasonal exam that is conducted before the semester exam. The exams are not difficult as much, one who had good knowledge and writing skills can easily score good marks. And the main and important thing is that there is no year-back policy.

Currently, I am in 2nd year and now I m not doing any internship. There are very few campus opportunities, and the student has to go off-campus to grab some internship opportunities. Most of the students are not aware of the off-campus opportunity. There is a startup in our college named colored cow and one can do a web dev internship with them.

THDC-IHET is not the best but a good college for doing B.Tech .Placements of our college are not good because only 7-8 companies visit our college to conduct interviews .Approximately 30-35% of the students got jobs through college placements.The average package in the college is around 4LPA .This year highest package is of a 4rth year senior and that is 13LPA .

The scholarship is provided to those students who belongs from SC,ST,OBC quota .Tution fee for all branches ( electronic and communication ,electrical engineering ,mechanical engineering ,computer science and engineering,civil engineering ) is 30,000,and college PDP fee is 1000 (per semester , semester examination fee is 3,600 and security deposit is 2,500 per annum ( refundable only on completion of course ),enrollment fee is 1,500,registration fee is 300,hostel fee is 11,500(for 3 bed accommodation) +8625(for 4 bed accomodation) ,mes fee is 13,500.

Very good campus life.Like PANTNAGAR UNIVERSITY. Freshers party ,cultural activities and campus events makes us more engaged in time to time. All the seniors students and faculty members are supposed to do anything for their juniors. College is located in TEHRI .

There are two boys hostels and one girl's hostel inside the college campus. College provides us all the facilities in the hostel like washing machine, wi-fi, common hall to play table tennis, etc indoor games. There are 20-24 rooms on each floor of the hostel. In one boy's hostel there is only 1st and 4rth year and in the other one 2nd and 3rd year. One two security guard always remains at the main gates of the hostel. Putin time from the hostel is from 6 am to 6:30 pm. The food quality is good as compared to other colleges and there is a different menu for different days of a week. And there is one hostel warden in each hostel who always remains at the hostel.
