Remarks

The cutoff for my course in the first cutoff was 96% for my category (general) and I got enrolled in the first cutoff itself. The admission process was quite lengthy at that time as you have to go to college and then go through a lengthy process of admission. It took nearly 3 hours in my case. Since last year the process has changed to online admission whole process is online now as much I know till date. So this is quite easy and feasible for students to enroll themselves without waiting for long 2-3 hours in the college campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The First reason behind choosing this course was my commerce background and secondly, Commerce has maximum scope in the present era. There is a lot to explore and achieve in this field, one can get maximum out of his/ her skills. There are various prestigious career options like CA and CS. Du regular have exams twice a year after each semester also it has internal exams commonly called mid sem exams. Talking about strength in the course it's around 50 students in each section and there are two sections in our college. We have a good faculty with all-female professors for our course. All the professors are highly experienced and well efficient. Now talking about how difficult or easy it is to pass exams then I must say they are of moderate level. You can easily pass if you have taken your classes seriously. I mean to say is simply exams are easy to pass with regular practice.

Internships Opportunities

4

There is no separate internship cell of our college but one can get internship opportunities throughout the year. There is a website called internal where one can get a number of internship opportunities. Some are NGO-based and some are company-based. They are mushkurahat foundation, tulsi foundation, Aasha Foundation, unschool, ADORE, etc They offer internship certificates, LOR, and stipends based on your performance.

Placement Experience

3.5

Every year in the month of January, the placement cell of Daulat Ram College invites more than 50 companies to recruit young talents. There is no such academic qualification is required, one should have a good English speaking skill to get selected. One can sit for placement in her 3rd year. Bcom students have more probability to get selected. The companies that visit every year are wipro, paytm, bajaj, mahindra, justdial, deolite etc The highest salary package usually offered is 10 lakhs per annum. The lowest salary package offered was 6 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee for BCom honors is 15,980 inclusive of all charges, Drc has a separate hostel as well, annual charge of lodging + fooding is 1,20,000. There is no such scholarships that is merit based. Although on the basis of income i.e if a students annual family income is less than 1 lakhs, she will recieve an annual fee concession of 10,000 per year. Other than this, there are some scholarships like National Scholarship portal, E-kalyan etc.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest of DRC is Manjhari organized in the month of March and lasts for 2 days. It includes games, competitions, food, music, and dance. Other than the annual fest, the society, department, and cell also conduct fest in the month of February. Life at the campus is above amazing. The college has a separate sports complex that includes jacuzi bath, shauna, gym, tennis court, etc The college has many societies includes politics at toast, civil service societies, connecting dream foundation, and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
