Remarks
I applied for kirorimal also but I wanted to make it to DRC because of its faculty so I withdrew my admission and applied for DRC. I didn't avail any quota for admission as I belong to the general category. The minimum mark of my course was 95% but I score 93 in my 12th so I had to wait for the cutoffs to come down. The two important documents required were the 10th and 12th mark sheets, two hard copies of both the mark sheets, and one hard copy of the registration form. After the verification, I got a mail and a link, paid the fee and the admission was done.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose life science because of my interest as I want to pursue a professional course after my graduation. There were 50 students in my year. And a total of 160 students in my department. There are 12 faculties in my department so the faculty: students ratio is 1:4. All the Professors are highly qualified and really experienced. Their way of teaching is outstanding. Exams were a little hard as the questions were a little tricky but easy to pass. Two times in a year exams were conducted.
Internships Opportunities
One can easily get an internship from internshala.com. Companies including those offering stipends approach placement cells for various internship programs. Like EY, PREP JUNCTION, QUOLLAB, and many other companies with various job profiles including campus ambassadors. Companies also provide internship certificates, LOR, master certificates, professional certificates and also some other rewards Some also give stipends which range from around 2000 to 8000 with job profiles tenure ranging from 1 week to 3 months.
Placement Experience
Students can sit for placement from last semester. Around 25% of students were got selected last year. Our college invites very reputable companies for placement campus almost 50 companies. Top Recruiting companies are WIPRO, snapdeal, Myntra,bajaye, Genpact, SMARTICAn PayTM, Mahindra, and many more in fact placement cell prepares each student with so much perfection through its webinars, group discussions, soft skill development programs. If one has soft and polite along with a creative mind can easily get a job. Minimum salary - 2-3 lakhs. Maximum salary - 10 - 12 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for my course is 18,000 per year. A little higher than other courses because of the lab's charge and all. There were no other charges taken from us. I didn't apply for a scholarship my entire fee was paid by my parents. But few of my friends got 10,000 per year by applying for the National scholarship portal. So anyone having more than 90% can apply for the scholarship.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is really amazing. From the first year, you'll start witnessing the craze for DU. Delhi University includes fest, fun, games, music, dance, food, Diwali Mela, and more. The annual fest of DRC is Manjhari organized by the DRC Union who invites big celebrities like raftar, Salim, Guru Randhawa, mankirat aulakh. Fest also includes band and Dj night. Classrooms are really spacious and airy, WiFi installed, without WiFi no online work can be done. Books, newspapers everything is available at the library but it is under construction for the last 3 years. There are many social groups that are actually run by the students, it includes dance societies, music societies, National social service, National cadet cops, and more.
