Before taking admission in Govind Vallabh pant Insitute of engineering and technology I applied for many colleges like IIT, NIT and other state government colleges in counselling based on my marks in JEE main. but my marks are not that much, that is why I didn't get admission to any of those colleges. No, I have no quota for admission. I am from the general category. Any student may take admission in my colleges through state counselling of Uttrakhand based on marks in JEE main and advance. There are no minimum marks criteria for taking admission to the college. It will depend on the marks of the other student participating in the state counselling of Uttarakhand. The admission process was so smooth. you just have to ready your all document and go to head office and submit it.

I choose this course( computer science ) because I am interested in programming and the digital world, I want to explore it more. In my college, there is a good ratio of faculty and student. It is almost 1 faculty over 15 students. I think it is good. Most of the faculty have done PhD in their subject, and some of them have completed m.sc in their subject. their teaching skills is good, if I have to rate it then I will give them 4 stars out of 5. there is 3 class test in every semester in the gap of 1-2 month. the difficulty level of the paper is not that hard but medium.

There are so many companies that provide internships, some of them are google cloud, NEO, and some internship programs are arranged by the faculty. they first teach about the program then they gave us a project on the topic they teach.

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Some It sector company and nearby industry worker visit in our campus, they made so many offer for the student with good package. the highest package is almost 13 lakh per anum and the average package is approx 3 lakh per anum. the package depends on the project you work on in the college. Almost 75% of students got placement every year from the college. Some of the students started their startups. My plan after getting a degree is to get a good job with a good package.

The fees structure of the college is good. there is own bank of the college, which collect the fees. the overall fee of the semester is approx 50,000 rs. it includes hostel mess and academic fees. The academic fees are almost 32,000 rs approx and hostel and mess fees are almost 17,000 to 18,000 rs almost.

There are so many annual and tach fest conducted by the college. some of them are sports fest (JOSH) in the last month of the year. and cultural fest in February. There is a large library with lots of books, almost of every type and of every branch with good quality. The process of issuing and returning the book is also smooth, just go to the counter and return or issue. Also, there is a good environment for self study in the library with extreme silence. There are so many sports in the college like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, carom, kabaddi etc also there is an extracurricular activity like group project work, group event etc. There are many clubs in the college which help students from the nearby village, they visit the nearby village and communicate with students from the village and help them in the study.

There is a good quality of hostel room. each room has 3 beds with 3 almirahs and 3 study tables. Also, there is wifi facility for students. every day sweepers and cleaners come for clean rooms and hostels. The meal quality is good. we got delicious food veg and non veg both. The menu of the mess is really good, we got different food every day. someday it is normal food, someday it is some delicious food. On some special occasion or festival, we got some good stuff in the food. For registration in the hostel, there is a hostel warden in the hostel, which provide you rooms based on your rank in your batch.
