Emerging as Top Government engineering College in Bihar

The admission is done through JEE main percentile. The cutoff for the CSE branch for general is around 85, for OBC it is around 80 and for SC it is around 75. Mine is the OBC category. I choose the CSE branch as placement records of this is good. The admission is done through bcece counselling after the declaration of JEE result. It takes around 1.5 months for admission counselling.

I choose the CSE branch as placement records are good and I am aiming for the gate exam that's why without wasting my money in private college l decided to take admission in this college. Also, it is near to my home city Patna. The student faculty ratio is 5:60. The teachers are very helpful and friendly. Although all teachers are highly qualified some teachers to have very poor teaching methodology. The course curriculum is not so good. As our college is affiliated with AKU university. Our semester exam is taken by University. They don't organise semester exams in time. You have to study hard to pass the semester exam.

There are lots of internship opportunities available for third and fourth year students. Many tech companies provide internships with decent stipends. This college get benefits of being in Patna city. But 2nd year students get fewer internship opportunities. Some students got graduate trainee interns while some students got technical and non technical work. They have to complete at least two projects to become eligible for an internship.

The placement of our college is getting better day by day. Almost 80% of CS branches got placed in top MNCs like TCS IBM HCL WIPRO Infosys Accenture etc. After the 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placement. 10+ students out of 60 students got 8 lakh package. The average package is around 4 lakhs per annum. Some students got off campus placement. Some students opted for higher studies like MTech. The mine plan is also gate exam and doing MTech in top IITs or NITs so that I can 15+ lakhs annual package.

College fees are around 40k for four years and hostel fees are around 48k per year. So total fees including hostel fees are around 2.5 lakhs which is not very much as compared to other colleges. There are no hidden charges as it's a government engineering college. You can easily take a loan through the Bihar student credit card scheme up to 4 lakhs. You will get 35k for laptop charge and 40k (10k per year) for books and stationary charge under this scheme. The time period for repayment of the loan is 7 years and if you didn't get the job then your loan fees will pardon.

Our college organises its annual sports fest named "Kaushal Manthan" every year to enhance competitive team spirit. Apart from this they also conduct an annual tech fest. Our college has a decent and well organised library that contains plenty of books. One can easily avail of books through a library card. Our classroom is awesome with proper ventilation but there is no smartboard. Our college has lots of clubs like sports club, photography club, coding club, etc.

There are two boys hostels and one girl's hostel. Currently, hostels are not available for first year students but new hostels are currently being built. Rooms are spacious and proper ventilated. The food quality of mess is good and proper cooking. The taste is awesome. I think one of the best messes in any government engineering college in Bihar. The menu is properly designed for the good health of students. But the locality of our college is not good. You will get a good room within 2-3km from the college.
