Shivam Dubey's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NIT], Agartala

After qualifying AIEEE exam and getting 185 marks out of 360, i got admission into NIT Agartala. Since NIT Agartala is one of the oldest institute in India which was established in 1965 so i have opted NIT Agartala over other institution and this was the best college that i was getting with these marks.

Course structure in NIT Agartala is quite fine since NIT agartala is one of the NIT's so the courses are basically decided by MHRD only. Even few subjects were added during my college time with the intervene of Director and advisory committee of our college.

Yes, NIT Agartala provides internships in few departments but only some of them use to provide stipend to student. Most of them are training type only. For the development of tech fest websites and App also they use to provide internship in which students from NIT Agartala use to develop such products.

Placement scenario is very good in NIT Agartala. Many students use to get more than 1 job from NIT Agartala. Apart from many reputed companies like VIrtusa, Oracle,Tata Moters, Ashok leyland, Maruti Suzuk etc. some PSU's also prefer to visit our Institution.

There are many events which NIT Agatala use to celebrate. Initially there were AAYAM (Tech-Fest),Moksha(Cultural) was the main two events but now ADVAITAM ( Techno-Cultural Fest). Few others popular events are as- North East Debate competition, Tech Addicts Club's Annual Fest, Robotics Club's Annual Fest.

Fee structure is similar to other NIT's where government is providing heavy subsidy in the fee structure of NIT Agartala. SO students need to pay 20,000 as a tuition fee per semester and 18,000 hostel and food charge per semester. So overall we can say NIT Agartala is having less fee structure compare to other private colleges.

Every year NIT Agartala use to conduct Alumni meet for different batches. And active alumni cell is continuously working for the proper connectivity between its alumni-es.Even if any member of NIT Agartala is suffering from any serious disease then also this Alumni forum use to help that members collectively.

Exam structure is same as the other engineering colleges in which 8 semester are there and each semester contains a mid term examination. And a student need to clear all the examinations in order to complete his/her degree. Exam schedules are not very much hectic.

Most of the faculties were from different NIT's so the quality of teachers were very good but since NIT Agartala is located in North Eastern part of India so there is very less number of faculties from northern part of India. But all the faculties are well qualified and fulfilling all the criteria's decided by the MHRD.
