Remarks

The colleges I applied to were:- 1) Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies. 2) Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies. From the above colleges, o didn't attend MAIMS because according to me the faculty of VIPS is better than MAIMS. Also, the facilities in VIPS are better than MAIMS. Talking about the classroom in VIPS are good and hygienic as compared to MAIMS and also VIPS provide air conditioning facility in the classroom. No, I didn't avail any quota for admission. The Admission criteria of my college are to attend. IPU CET entrance test for BA Economics Hons. At the entrance, you should score above 50% marks. And minimum age requirement is 18 to avail of the course. The admission process of my college was not much difficult. It was an easy process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The reason behind opting for this course is that first my interest is highly towards economics and statistics and second the faculty provided by my college for this programme is best according to me. I don't know much about the faculty: student ratio but according to my knowledge, the ratio is 1:40 that means on every 40 students there is 1 faculty. Talking about the qualifications of the faculty, I don't have any knowledge about their qualifications. But talking about the teaching review I think the faculty is very good at it. The teaching style of the faculty is very different and easy to understand. Talking about the term exams I think they were after every 6 months. The exam was not easy they were a little hard and tricky. But it was not that difficult to clear them.

Internships Opportunities

4

Some of the companies that offered internships are:- 1) AIMS India 2) Insurance Companies 3) E&Y There are many roles offered under internship in our college some of them are:- 1) Business Development 2) Sports Leader 3) Marketing 4) Content Writing 5) Digital Marketing. So because I am in the second year I am not aware of the projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks but, when I was in touch with seniors they told me that there were many projects and good outcomes during their internship. They also told that there were many internships offered to them with different projects and tasks.

Placement Experience

4.5

As per my knowledge, the students are eligible after the 4th semester for campus placements. That is after the second year. Currently, I am in my second year so I don't know all the companies that visited our college, but some of them are:- 1) C-Vent 2) Accenture 3) WIPRO 4) Amazon 5) Oracle Talking about the highest package that was offered was 6,75,000 per annum and the average package offered every year is 3,72,000. Talking about the percentage of students getting placements is good it is approx 85% That students get placements in VIPS. My Plan After getting a degree is to do further studies out of India and after that a job in the known company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of my programme is 108,000 per year that is not very high. Yes, according to fees the college provides 100 % cost to study to their students. Also, the good thing is that the fees can be paid online and offline for both methods. I don't know much about the fees hike policy of my college. Talking about scholarships, So I am in my second year. So now I don't have any scholarships and they also don't get any jobs on campus stipend. But talking with my seniors some of them got good jobs or scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Due to the covid situation, there are no annual fest or tech fest. But some many seminars and webinars are held online on regular basis conducted by our college. Talking about the library of our college it provides a variety of available books. Almost every kind of book is available in our library plus there are 2 libraries in our college which provide us with more variety too. There are many amenities in the classroom that our college provides to us some of them are smart classes or projectors. Second is the air conditioning facility, also the seats are very comfortable. So because of this covid situation, I am not aware of the sports or extracurricular activities on campus, but asking seniors they told me that many extracurricular activities and sports are provided on the campus. Currently, I am not aware of any social groups or clubs or any websites for students run by students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
