Remarks
I applied in the Thapar institute of engineering and technology and Vellore institute of technology. In 2020 admission process is based upon 12th boards marks. Also some admissions from JEE because of Covid Situation. The admission process is the Same as other colleges and In 2020 no counseling days due to covid. All process is online.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course because COE is one of the best and oldest branches of the Thapar Institute of engineering and technology. Also in future, there is the scope of the computer-related branch. The faculty-student ratio is nearly 1:8 Faculty is well qualified and most of them are phd holder. In one semester MST and EST take place.
Internships Opportunities
In my College Thapar institute of engineering and technology companies that offer internships are like Infosys, Maruti Suzuki, Wipro, reliance and many more companies. There are many activities and projects in our college for students to strengthen base regarding study topics like Arduino project, ELC projects etc.
Placement Experience
From 7th or 8th-semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Nearly 150-200 companies visited in college for placements. About 90% of students are placed in companies. The highest package is 43 lakhs. And the average package is around 9 to 10 lakhs. My plan after my degree is to get a good job with a good package.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees in Thapar institute of engineering and technology is comparatively more than in other engineering colleges. One year fees is around 400000. One year Hostel fees is around 100000. Scholarship based upon the JEE mains rank and 12th boards marks. And many other scholarship is also there.
Campus Life
There are many fests of different societies. Also annual fest is Saturnalia. And tech fest takes place on time to time. Almost all the books that we need is available in the big library of the college. In sports, college is very good. Many sports are played in college and 3 to 4 big grounds for games.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms of the hostel is very clean and beautiful especially Hostel M is one of the best hostels of college. Meal of mess is quite good in every hostel of Thapar University. We have to register for hostels based upon our requirements like single, double, triple rooms etc. The fees of hostels is nearly 100000 of one year.
