Remarks
I applied for two colleges, one was IPCW and the other was Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. I did not attend Shaheed Bhagat Singh college because first it was on the south campus plus it was far from my place. I belong to OBC-NC therefore I got the quota for the same, and I got admission in IPCW in the 3rd list. The minimum marks required to get an honors degree was 60 out of 100 in mathematics is must plus You must inculcate the English language while calculating your overall percentage, count music only if you have scored full in it, as because they count the marks on a pro-rata basis, and hence your overall percentage may fall because of that, but you don't need to panic, there are many helpers(students itself) available there to help you out during a crisis, and clear out your doubts. So relax and good luck.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this because I was provided with an Honours degree and the college was in north campus with a fine placement cell. Teachers are quite helpful and the location of the college is my favorite thing, One of the best colleges for other facilities and infrastructure, it also provides with BMMMC course. The second college of north campus having a swimming pool and the gym is also well equipped. The library is the most amazing place there, with like millions of books, and fully AC, with some private canins as well, if u are a book worm, then it's a perfect place for you. The faculty of commerce is quite understanding and helpful. Although the principal mam is a Little strict, overall it works well.
Internships Opportunities
The college tells you about a few internships but in the end, you'll have to find internships yourself and Internshala is the best platform to avail internships, be it paid or unpaid, but I'll recommend you to opt for paid one's only.
Placement Experience
The average package offered during our batch was 4LPA, However during 2021 placement the highest placement was18LPA. Many reputatee companies visit college like Delloite, EY, AXA, KPMG, etc. Around 40 students out of 120 got the placements while a few didn't applied out of 120 itseld and others didnot got due to poor performance. The college has its own placement cell named as JEET ran by Mrs. Vinita kaur Mam and trust me, she is the best and also quite helpful and understanding, my favourite faculty so far.
Fees and Financial Aid
fees are lower than what you expect, which is 28,100 per year for B.com Hons., there is a scholarship if you belong to EWS but you need proper documents to prove it, it also offers laptops to students during college years which are to be returned when the session ends, free of cost.
Campus Life
Fests were brilliant, held every year, one is department fest and the other is college fest, for which you will require passed provided by college itself, and you can also visit other college's fest(only with passes, unless you have approached.
