As I belong to OBC( other backward class).OBC is a collective term used by the Government of India to classify castes that are educationally or socially disadvantaged. I got admission with 88 % in PCB whereas for a general category you have to have 90% marks . As per the admission process, you were supposed to have your documents along with their two copies. There were bulletin boards you could just take a look at it to know the whereabouts of documents verification. There were seniors to help you out.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wasn't so sure about what to pursue, I mean whether to choose botany, zoology or chemistry so I took Life sciences. The faculty was really good at their job. And if you are consistent then it is really not that difficult to pass.
Internships Opportunities
The top recruiting companies in DRC are Wipro, HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, KPMG, Genpact, Ernsts and youngs. Many other companies such as TATA and Infosys with an average package of 5-6 lakhs per annum. It arranges interactive seminars, workshops and recruitment sessions.
Placement Experience
Students get to do an internship after the 5th semester onwards or after graduation. Around 93% of students get to place each year after completing their graduation from university. The highest package will be around 3 lakhs per annum to an average of 2 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first year, I had to pay around 15k following that 11 k in the second year and 7 k for the third year. The only drawback for expenses can be if you opt for a pg near the campus they can charge you from 10k to 17 k for a month.
Campus Life
DRC has got Manjari as one of the most famed fests in the university. It is basically featured by a treasure hunt, dance competition, fashion choreography and so many events. The dramatic societies of various colleges perform in front of the college. It is indeed an interesting sight.
