Remarks
The admission procedure was fast and simple after viewing the cut-off list that I'll be able to get into Satywati college. I went to the college the faculties were very helpful and wanted to assist me they answered all of my questions and cleared up any confusion I had. They helped me filling up the form and informed me that I can also change the course or change the college if I want in case I get a better college. I availed SC quota to get admission. The minimum percentage for the SC quota is 74% whereas for the General category the range is 85-90% to get admission in BA(h)English at Satyawati College.
Course Curriculum Overview
Since I was in school, I have been fascinated by the subject of English. I wanted to continue it, which is why I decided to pursue BA(h) English. My class had a total of 60 students and we would have four subjects every semester, with two professors for each subject. The professors would divide the syllabus between themselves and take our classes. The majority of the professor had completed their doctorate degree while some were in the processor of doing so. The semester exams would timely take place in December and May and the exam is not too difficult or too easy. It was average in difficulty level. If one would study then it wasn't too hard to pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities
Students could get internships within the background of their courses and also from the societies of the college. One of my classmates was in the dance society and got two internships from that society.
Placement Experience
Students could get campus placements in their final year. Companies would visit the college and take students interviews. Regarding the chance of getting a campus placement, the chances were high for students who were pursuing a professional course meanwhile for other students doing courses such as BA programme BA (h) English and so on there was no such campus placement of them. Packages could vary between 2-5 lakh per annum. Students with good academic records, hard work and enthusiasm were able to get the replacement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the course was 7500 rs. and for each semester exam, we had to pay 500 rs. as an examination fee. The fees of Satyawati college as compared to other colleges was quite low as the other colleges were charging 20-30 thousand for a graduation course and here we had to pay only 7500.
Campus Life
The college organizes annual fest and freshers parties and farewells for each and every course. English literary society organizes Novato Fiesta every year to welcome their Ist year students in the month of August. The library is well structured and has numerous books while classrooms are also big in size and have the sufficient number of desks for students. Cricket is one of the popular sport in college and even the college cricket team has won many competitions. college drama society and dance society is entirely run by students and they motivate other students to join extracurricular activities to enhance such skills.
