It was pretty clear for me that I wanted to attend DU, I wanted to opt for BA English Hons. from the very beginning. For my batch, we had it pretty easy, as all the admission procedures went online, and even if something went wrong somewhere, the procedure was pretty flexible, they ensured no one who could have and wanted to take admission in DU, missed out. We were provided multiple opportunities to update our details and documents. As the cut-offs rolled out we easily just had to log in, fill out the college name we wanted to apply for and other details, and then just within few hours our applications were verified, and next after the payment our admission was done, to withdraw our application was also very easy and, just log in, choose to withdraw the application and then within a day, our admission fee was refunded. It was all same for each cut-off, but one thing to be very attentive was to stay active on DU portal and check recent notices. We had the best of four already provided when logged in.

I chose BA English Hons. because I like literature a lot. The faculty here is amazing, our professors help us a lot. Faculty in DU colleges are no doubt, pretty much qualified and inspiring and so does our college,while few already are phd some are pusuing their phd and working on their thesis along with. Talking about examinations, we had OBEs (open book examination), due to the courtesy of pandemic, but the procedure was all over pretty flexible. We were given time to upload our answer sheets and the question paper was shared on the examination portal only, we had to upload answers one by one so that we don't miss out on the whole paper if time runs out.

Our placement and internship cell is very active and does bring us good placement and internship opportunities. Several companies come with profiles like HR intern, content writing, digital marketing, etc. they have bought us nice and reputed firms as well like Hathaway Berkshire and etc.

The majority of campus placements come for courses related to commerce, although we do get content writing and other related internships opportunities. Since it's a new college and it is already had grown much for its span, we expect it soon to be among the top colleges of DU.

DU fees are highly subsidized as everyone knows of, our first-year fees were Rs 13,830 only, as we have people from all sorts of backgrounds here. The examination fee costed something around Rs 500+. As classes are completely online, we are also given assistance to get a laptop from our college, for those who don't have one.

As we didn't get to attend cultural activities in college physically, there were a lot of meets organized on, as much as possible, through google meet. So far, not being able to visit college we aren't able to access on-campus activities and facilities but we are provided online study material as much as possible as we are not able to access the college library but hey there are virtual libraries too.
