Remarks

This was the best option that is available to me, I got selected in two IIMs that are best for me but I chose IIM Kashipur over IIM Raipur because I have already taken admission here and I was in my comfort zone in the group. Also, I compared the teaching staff, the placement that I found better.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Almost every faculty is highly qualified like they are Ph.D. holders and also there are some from Harvard University. In the course curriculum, there are three semesters in 1 year and on average 10 courses in each semester. In each semester there are two exams that are Mid-term and End-term. Then there are 2 types of courses like Full-credit and Half-credit courses; for full-credit courses, you have to attend 20 classes of hour 15 minutes each where you need to give both mid-term and end-term for this and for the half-credit courses, there are 10 courses and then you need to give only the end-term. Every course has projects, assignments, and about 2 to 3 quizzes that may be on a random topic or you will be notified.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are more than 50 companies that came for the summer internship, like Deloitte, Puma, Google, Microsoft, and there are 100% placements for the students except for those who opted out. The highest stipend was 3.3 lakhs for 2 months.

Placement Experience

The placement is pretty good over here, everybody got a good opportunity. There are more than 50 companies that came for the summer internship, like Deloitte, Puma, Google, Microsoft, and there are 100% placements for the students except for those who opted out. The highest stipend was 3.3 lakhs for 2 months. I have not much idea about the final placement but heard from seniors that they got about 12 to 13 lakhs on average this year. And for the previous year, the average and median salary were INR 14 lakhs, the highest package was about INR 54 lakhs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure changes every year. Before the start of any academic session, the fee structure will be decided by the board and updated on the website. And in my case, the total fee is 15.5 lakhs for 2 years. There are scholarships available from govt. and the college also provides scholarship to the meritorious students those comes under below income group where the whole academy fees will be refunded. There are a good amount of campus job opportunities.

Campus Life

4

Apart from academics, the most important thing in MBA life is networking and other activities that are conducted in B-Schools. IIM Kashipur is a student-run campus which means everything run by students only like mess committees where they manage everything from financial to procurement to the preparation of food to serving the food, everything managed by the students. And we have 30 clubs and committees like the CR committee, placement committee, academic committee, dramatic club, music club, quiz club, to build your extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Because of the covid situation, many of the students haven't reached the campus yet and I am one of them. But I have heard from my friends that for first-year students we have to share rooms with another person that is mentioned on the website also, and a single room for 2nd year. And speaking about the mess, the food quality is average.

Admission

There was no GD. They take admissions on a CAP basis. There are two steps in the CAP process; the first is a VAT test that is written format where a topic will be given and you will get 1 min. time to think and write 200 - 300 words and submit it in 20 minutes. And then, you will be called for an interview.

I chose this course due to my own interest. This course is relevant enough to prepare the person to solve real-life applications and adapt thinkingness and knowledge. It would be helpful if they use visual content to teach it will be helpful. The frequency and timing of exams are perfect according to the level of the paper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have seen students who have studied from here have achieved many things in life some of them became professors here. Some are doing work abroad. According to me something there should be a change like having more practicals if you have taken subjects like IT, cs,bca or any other practical subjects book knowledge is also compulsory but by doing practicals we can learn more easily. Exams are normal for 1st year but as you are going higher difficulties will come.
