"IIM Kashipur" Review

The first thing I was interested in about the college is the environment. The environment is very good. And the college is situated in Uttarakhand. So, it is very close to nature and the whole campus is very green. The faculty of the campus is very good and all the faculties have Ph.D. and they are doing some research. The curriculum of this college is very good. That's why I choose that college.

The course is in each trimester we have 2 exams: mid-term and end term exam. And in each trimester we have 9 subjects that are co-related to businesses & their ethics problems. Some out of them are half-credit & some out of them are full credit. Full credit course has 20 sessions and others have 10 sessions. The total MBA course has 6 trimesters. And there are 41 faculties. They all have Ph.D. degrees and they are doing research in their perspective fields.

This year's average summer placement is 1.55 lakhs and we had seen very good companies coming on the campus like ICICI, HDFC, etc.

In last year final placement we had seen great companies and the highest package was 45 lakhs and the average package was around 13 lakhs. Mainly the companies are focus on marketing but there are several good companies for the finance and operations which are very good like L&T and others.

The fee of this college is 5.45 lakhs and it is for the whole course and it is not included the mess fees. You have to pay the mess fee monthly.You can avail of scholarships from the government as well as IIM Kashipur also provides scholarships like there are 46 events that avail that scholarship on the basis of need, and some out of them are need cum merit and some out of them are merit based.

The extracurricular activities are going o with the MBA course. Whole-time you have extracurricular activities conducted by the cultural committee & sports committee also conduct some sports event. One of the events that we have is by cultural committees "Kacofonia" and then the sports committees games. One of the entrepreneurship events is "Uttishtha" which is now going on on the campus. And campus life is very good. They have mostly socialist each they have interaction with our colleagues and we have to discuss real-life business problems in the free time.

The food is very good snd they provide many items in the food. And there is refreshment, breakfast, lunch & dinner and each has different varieties. The hostel is very nice. Each floor has a fridge, microwave, washing machine and all. So, it is very easy for students to carry that in the hostel and they can interact with the other students as well.

In IIMs, we generally don't have a GD process. Instead of that, we had the WAT process. The administrator gives you some topic on which we have to write and they gave 20 minutes. We have to write and they select that. And after that, we had to take an interview. The interview was very fine. They asked general questions like telling me about yourself, generally, they asked about you, they want to know you, how the knowledge you have, how about your attitude and skills, do you really want to pursue the college & all. So, it was very simple.
