Avinash Tiwari's Review On Indian Institute Of Management - [IIM], Kashipur

I choose IIM Kashipur over other colleges for many reasons. One being its beautiful campus. Two, placement figures mean in the last 10 years continuously each year it registered the 100% placement record with an increment each year. Third, pedagogy skills, pedagogy mechanism that is there in IIM Kashipur. Forth, networking is the networking of preliminaries over the years we have seen in the last 20 years this kind of students help IIM Kashipur produced are working currently in the top-level position in the industry. One of the reasons for me to choosing IIM Kashipur that IIM Kashipur is known for the kind of freedom that it gives its students. So, I would say these are my parameters. On the basis of which I choose IIM Kashipur over other colleges.

Talking about the course curriculum that is here, we have been in the first year, we have basically 3 trimesters in 1 year and each trimester is divided into 4 months time period. And in that, each term is divided into 2 exams is pre-mid-term & post-midterm exams.And talking about faculties, I would say, I would be perhaps the little person or small person to talk about their renowned & achievements. The professor Mr. Baharul Islam sir who has the Wikipedia pages. His phenomenal as per as pedagogy skills or his messages are concerned, we are really its simple treat to listen to Mr. Baharul Islam sir and getting learned the business strategies that he teaches that is the subject he taught us is the LAB & LC. LAB means Legal Aspects of Business and LC is the Leadership Communication. So, this is about Mr. Baharul Islam sir. And talking about the Business Statistics course, I particularly like way Mr. Sabyasachi Patra sir teaches Business Statistics. So, I would say professors phenomenal and they all stand up to the mark of what is called the brand IIM.

Talking about our summer placement, it was phenomenal. Phenomenal means we registered the highest placements of 3.2 lakhs for 2 months and an average of our batch was 1.56 lakh for 2 months. And for the analytics batch, that IIMM Kashipur this year started. So, I would say comparing with its spares IIM Kashipur is far ahead at the placements also.

Final placement is currently ongoing in IIM Kashipur.

Talking about fee structure, so we are supposed to pay over the duration of 2 years around 15 lakhs rupee divided by each term we have to pay around 2.5 lakh.Talking about the scholarships, yes IIM Kashipur stands with the students with the fact that with the motive that no students should stir from getting best of the education if he is meritorious and living up to that motto, IIM Kashipur provides the need-based scholarships to the students who can't effort it. And secondly, to the students who are extremely meritorious and come in the top let's say 1% of the batch, they are given merit-based scholarships. And apart from these, there are many organizations that sponsor the scholarships in IIM Kashipur.

The whole campus is run by the student. It means that each & every activity ride from your mess that is the handling the kind of food that will be served to the students, to the placements that each & everything is taken care of by the students only s with the concern mentorship of the professors. So, we have in IIM Kashiur the committees like placement committee, mess committee handle by the students, and corporate relations committee which is having the primary responsibility of conducting the guest lecturers and building a strong relationship with the industries and they help students bring in the life projects for the students and getting the industry experience along with the studies. Talking about the extracurricular activities there are committees like cultural committee and talking about sports, there is one sports committee, talking about the gaming activities so there is one committee named Grandbeat. So, I would say as we know apart from studies, you need to be an all-rounder. So, in IIM Kashipur, you get all opportunities to groom yourself allrounder and this helps you become very much ready for the industry for facing the industry challenges going forward.

As per as the hostel facility is concerned, we all know that this is the covid time. So, i covid time most of the students means voluntarily asked by the college to come to the campus. So, I've not been that lucky means I requested my PGP office to call me to the campus. But due to the covid crisis, they haven't asked me and kind of information that I have gotten from my friend that hostels are extremely something which you would love and you would always like to live in. And apart from this, I've already talked about the kind of food that is served based on the needs and the wishes of the students. The menu keeps changing each day. So, as per as campus, food, and the leaving atmosphere is concerned, I would say IIM Kashipur perhaps there is no parallel to IIM Kashipur as per as I know.

I had applied for CAT and after clearing CAT, I got the CAP call that is the admission process for the 6 colleges I think. So, I went through the interview round and after that, I got selected by many colleges including IIM Kashipur.Basically, this year I guess if I'm having the correct information that IIM has removed the group discussion from their admission process. So, the only thing that we were having after getting the CAP interview call was the analytical writing test and followed by the interview. So, in the analytical writing test, if I remember properly it was out of 100% weightage, 15% is the weightage given to the analytical writing test wherein we were given one topic to write on means some topic I think it was some political topic or something. So, we were given 15 minutes to write and the rest was the interview.
