IIM Kashipur Review

I choose IIM Kashipur because of the three reasons. Firstly, my seniors told me that the overall faculties of the institute are good. Secondly, the achievement of students are good. Thirdly, location is good and close to many companies. These are the three main factors that made me choose this institute.

We have three semester in a year. Each semester consists of two exams. The subjects are beautifully distributed. In the first year, we have core subjects like Marketing, Micro-economics, Finance, etc. If we talk about faculties, there are approximately 40- 42 faculties. Many of the faculties are permanent. Few of them are visiting faculties. Most of the faculties are Ph. d holders and have corporate experience. They are pass out from premium IIM's.

For internship, a very few Multi National Companies come to the campus and offered a high stipend. They recruit very less number of students. Around 91 companies participate and 358 roles offered. If they are giving high stipend, they recruit 1, 2 or 3 students. The roles offered by the companies are HR, Marketing, Product Management.

IIM Kashipur provides good placement for its students.

The total fees of the entire course is around 15 to 16 lakh. The total fees doesnot include mess fees. We have to pay mess fee extra. The fees needs to paid in each term. IIM Kashipur provides three types of scholarship. Firstly, scholarships were provided to the topper students. Secondly, scholarship were offered to the backward classes who are financially poor, and thirdly, scholarships were provided to the financially poor but meritorius students.

IIM Kashipur has around 28 clubs, committees, and teams. There are clubs and committees for each activity like cultural committee, placement committee, academic committee, etc. Apart from committees, there are clubs which are interest based like Finance clubs, Marketing clubs, etc. There are also non- academic club like expedition club, social work club, gaming club, drama club, poetry club, etc. These clubs and committees conducts activities throughout the year. Many activities like quizes, case- study competition, national and international level competition, cultural events, etc are also conducted.

Hostel facility is very good in IIM Kashipur. The hostel is very clean. There is a common area on each floor where we can play and spend time with friends. The mess is spacious and Air- Conditioned. The quality of food is also very good. A lot of variety of food is there in breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For admission to IIM Kashipur, we have Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) round. There was no Group Discussion. For WAT, a topic with a limit of 300 words was given to write. The topic was " Reconsolation of Science and Cultural thoughts." For PI round, i was asked common questions regarding myself, my subject knowlege, work experience, and hobbies.
