TIET - Inside Out

The admission process was done in an online mode right from the registration to allotment of branch and hostel. The process is overall smooth. The counselling is done in 3 phases and at the end, there is a spot around. Admission is taken on the basis of board PCM percentage as well as JEE Mains Percentile.

There are majorly 3 exams in an entire semester including sessionals+lab evaluation, Mid-Semester Exams and End Semester Exams. The marking scheme being relative its easier to pass but in the branches with more number of students it's comparatively hard to score well.

Internships are mostly seen in the third year of college and just like the placements, there are a vast number of companies that provide internship opportunities for the students. In the past month only students have grabbed offers from Optum, Paytm, Cisco, Oracle, Amazon, Sabre, American Express, JP Morgan & Chase, Arcesium and many more.

Placements are always more than 90 percent with the highest package going around 40 LPA. Many companies visit the campus including the buzz ones like Deshaw, Amazon, Deloitte, SAP Labs and many more. There is a Center for Training and Development that prepares the students well for their placements. The only problem with placements is the number of students sitting for the CS branch Placements, it goes more than 1200 and bagging a decent placement with these many students is a difficult job.

The one and only drawback which the college seems to have according to many of thee students is the number of fees which they take and the hike they make in it every year. Scholarships are there for high scoring students and ample opportunities are there for internships. But on campus jobs are rarely available.

The annual fest is Saturnalia which is a week long event and the tech fest is Elementos. The Nava Nalanda Central Library is no doubt the best library I have seen with all the facilities one needs for a studying atmosphere. All the books are available including the soft copies also. Classrooms are of every sort, some halls being fully AC with wifi connectivity and some with minimal facilities but all are decent enough. Sports facilities are amazing in TIET, you name all the major sports they have. With beautiful tracks, football fields, hockey grounds, synthetic tennis courts and many more, they have given ample space for sports enthusiasts. The number of clubs is huge, you name the kind of club, they'll have it.

The newly built hostels like M and O Hostel for boys and N Hostel for girls are truly having a state of the art architecture and facilities. Fully AC and proper furnished rooms with study table and chair given. Washrooms are also quite nice. Mess have decent food, not so good not so bad but the on campus food outlets are amazing. Registration for hostels is done in online mode and quite a easy process is there.
