DETAILED REVIEW OF SITYOG INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Sityog Institute has always been one of the best engineering colleges in India. The placement record of this institute is outstanding and the infrastructure and modern facilities are unmatchable as compared to other engineering colleges in Bihar. Hence, I have chosen to pursue my higher studies in this college. Students who are seeking for the four year degree course in Sityog Institute of Technology must have passed their 10th and 12th from any of the Board of Intermediate Education with Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics as their main subjects and have qualified the JEE Mains examination with at least/ more than 85 percentile.

I have chosen this course because I had been always curious about electricity, and how electrical appliances work and their applications in real life. Electrical Engineers work at the forefront of practical technology and helps in improving the devices and systems we use every day. And there is a very interesting fact that Electrical Engineers provide power to the whole world. 18:1 is the student to faculty ratio of our college. A total of 7 examinations are conducted every semester, in which 6 examinations are conducted by the college internally every month including practicals and one final semester examination, which is conducted by the university. Although, the final semester examination is a bit tougher than the college exams if students have studied well and have their concepts clear, it would not take much effort to clear the exam with a good GPA.

Sityog Institute of Technology has introduced a 4 months training programme prior to the placement season, in which all the 5th and 6th semester students are provided with industry level training by members and recruiters from top companies like Infosys and HCL. And those student who has successfully completed their training are eligible for the campus placements. Throughout the year SIT has become an emerging placement hub for thousands of students. Top companies like AMAZON, IBM, INFOSYS, HAL, BHEL, BDL and ZOMATO eagerly waits for the placement season in our college so that they can hire some of the tops and best talented minds graduating from the institute. Around 96-98% of the students graduating from the institute are successfully placed during the placement season and the rest of the students opt for Mtech or MBA.

Around 9-12% of the students who are pursuing their higher studies in the Sityog Institute of Technology belongs to lower income families and are unable to pay their fees properly. Hence, to overcome this problem, our college has decided to financially support the students by providing a 50-75% fee waiver on the total fees under the Tuition Fee Wavier scheme. Under this scheme, the college also provides INR 10000 every semester to each and every eligible student to cover up their educational expenses. Sityog Institute of Technology has also partnered with the State Bank of India(SBI) to provide students with long term educational loans upto INR 5 lakhs with very low interest rates and credit cards facilities so that students can pursue their studies smoothly without any financial problem.

Housed in an independent building, the central library of the Sityog Institute of Technology covers 18500 sq. feet of space over two floors. The library has a seating capacity of more than 400 people and is equipped with 1,15,000 volumes of bools, 5000+ online e-journals and 140+ print journals and magazines. The lecture halls and classrooms are very spacious, airy and equipped with overhead projectors and a modern magnetic ceramic board. Separate tutorial rooms are also available for special classes and lab rooms are also fitted with LCD projectors and white screens. Sityog Institute of Technology has a common room equipped with facilities for major indoor games like Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Badminton, Carrom and Chess, which can be accessed by all the students, faculty and staff members. The college also provides excellent facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball, golf and swimming, managed by a Sports Officer and a Swimming Instructor.

Sityog Institute of Technology has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished rooms and modern amenities, and the overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on their studies. The hostels also have air-conditioned, regular and dorm rooms with attached restrooms and balconies, providing the right ambience to the students.
