Chemical Engineering review

Because Petroleum sector was at boom that time and in this college most of the core sector had specialization in petroleum and refining. After 4 years when covid situation came then most of the oil and gas companies did not visited in my college for campus placement but if I see in normal situation the placement with oil and gas companies was excellent.

Here faculty to student ratio was about 1:7. And most of the faculty was PHD either from IITs or from foreign Universities, So no doubt faculties were excellent. And exams were difficult and we had to do more work to pass due to that most of the time 7 to 10 students get back in their subjects.

No I did my internship with my college due to Covid situation but normally college provide internship for each students with reputed organizations like ONGC, IOCL, PCBL, Shell etc. But due to covid situation most of the oil and gas companies did not visited in my college for campus placement.

After 6th sem you are eligible to sit in campus placement organised by career services. In Chemical engineering most of the companies like PCBL, Haldia Petrochemicals, Londe India, Gold Plus glass Industry Ltd, and other companies for IT like Infosys and TCS. Highest package was about 7 LPS and average package was about 3lpa

Fee is very high as compare to other colleges, you have to spent about 20 lack in four years including college fee and hostel fee. They are giving 25% scholarship to the girls and to the domicile of Uttrakhand. Normally 1 to 2 students got scholarship out of 100 students so don't believe on scholarship.

Annual fee is around 5 lack including hostel fee also and they conduct a fest named as Urja in March I think. There us a central library which have all books related to your course they also have a digital library which have about 300 computers for your study. They have a playground for sports activities where you can participate in sports activities. They have student chapters and Clubs like SPE, AAPG, FIPI, IICHE to boost your skills.

You get a room with triple sharing or double sharing with Wi-Fi and foods. This college is situated on Himalayas so you will get a best life for example most of us spent our time on river point, Maggie point, suicide point. Simply my meaning is that you will enjoy your hostel and college life.

Yes you can either apply on the basis of 12th marks or you can apply on The basis JEE Mains marks. Yes UPES also take a exam named as UPESAT on that basis you can get admission in engineering. In UPESAT you will get all objective type normal question related with PCM and English.
