Very Good choice for B.Tech

Very good college environment for B.tech, no raaging, very good percentage of placement after final year, good food. Its a brain college, culture would be similar to mine. I heard from word of mouth before applying. Campus got separate grounds for football, cricket, volley ball games. It also got a very good and big library.

Curriculum is up to date. They also got option to choose our electives. So, more expire to our choice of selecting subject other than compulsory mechanical course subjects. Very good and brilliant faculty.

Internship wise, student need to find himself. College dont provide internship internally and also they wont recommend to any company. They leave the choice of selection to students. Student need to find it by themselves.

For placements many companies would visit during 3-2 or 4-1. Most of them would be selected for TCS or CTS. The students also have option to pursue mtech after btech. If they want they can also pursue MSc.

Fee is 40000/semester in 2011. It was equal for all the students except the NRE quota. Apart from that they provide scholarships for top 2% in the department @16000 and 2-10% @8000 rupees. And also, if you pay the mess bills correctly on time, they provide cashbacks about 8000 rupees per semester.

Infrastructure wise the university was beautiful. They have individual buildings for each and every department mechanical, civil,bio-tech,CSE,IT,ECE etc. They also had a law building. They also do two cultural events every year one was internal event and other was open to all the colleges. They also have individual clubs for all the co-activities like dance,drawing etc.

For first year students all the rooms were shared by 4 people. From second year onwards each student have option to select the type of room. Individual room to shared room. Individual room costs 16000 per anum, shared by 2 would cost 10000 per anum and shared by 4 would cost 8000 per anum.

For admission I was considered with the +2 marks and AIEEE rank. There wasn't any group discussions for the admission. It was slightly based on +2 marks or else with AIEEE marks. Strictly the admission based on the marks only. No other back door options.
