College review-PGDAV College (Evening)

I applied for BHU in 2019 for economics honours. I was from the science stream and I found changing my stream quite hard. I didn't clear its first cutoff list. I was eligible for the 2nd campus and in the 2nd cutoff, I was not getting the main campus of BHU. So I hold back from BHU and applied to Delhi University. Delhi University colleges' cutoff is quite high. And I was changing a stream so a 2 percent deduction of marks due to stream changing was applied in some colleges. There is 1 reservation for a girl's candidate also. So I applied for economics honours in P.G. D.A.V. college. In DU, percentage calculation is different in every college. If you have got more than 95 in 4 subjects then you will easily get a good course and college in North Campus of DU and North campus colleges are so good. And if your 4 subject calculation is between 90 to 95 so you will get a good college on the South campus too. And for less than 90, urban campus colleges are open with different courses.

For my future studies, I am going to pursue MBA as my higher education degree. So I chose the Economics honors course cause economics is in need nowadays. I am satisfied with my course and college. The college faculty is good. TEACHERS and staff help students in every manner. For arts, science, and mainly for the commerce stream, our teaching faculty is excellent. Societies of DU are all around famous in Delhi and outside Delhi. In my college Societies are good and cool. Students get a chance to build their personalities with intellectual skills. Semester exams of DU are on time. There is no delay. Even in a time of covid. Exams are held on time and results are announced also on time. The question pattern of semester exams are good. Everyone will pass easily but for scoring well one has to study hard.

1000's of chances for a good internship in every field. Stipend -- rs. 3000 to rs. 20000 depends on your course and skills. Content writing, editing, advertising and so many fields to explore as an intern if you are applying for an internship from the arts stream.

Placement is good all over the college and also in other colleges of DU. In P.G. D. A. V. College overall campus is excellent. Companies like Delloite, Wipro, tcs, and so on reach our college for BSC comp science and statistics students. And so many companies come for every stream student. From the 5th semester, students are eligible for placement.

Fees are quite low as compare to other colleges all over the world. For BA courses it's around 13000 per annum. For reserved category students, there is a reservation in fees also. Toppers of the batch get scholarships for their performance.

Delhi university fests are so famous and the best thing happens in the whole year. DU fest and societies are so famous. Societies arrange several meetings and fun activities every week. One student who has an interest in any curriculum activities can explore themselves very easily. There are so many societies like - spunk, Natraj, (dance societies), Raaga(singing society), iris ( photography society), and so on. For any activity, there is one society.
