IITR Electrical branch

In the jossa counselling process I have three choices one is ISM Dhanbad Cse ,IIT Guwahati electronics and IIT Roorkee electrical .IIT Guwahati is far from my house and ISM is newly IIT so I preferred IIT Roorkee electrical over all choices. One reason is also that IITR has good coding culture.I am from obc category so acc to my rank in category I got above mentioned choices.I don't remember much but I guess the branch closing rank is go upto approx 5500 general rank.I filled my choices in an order which I want in jossa counselling .There was 2 mock round in jossa counselling so in both mock round I got IITR and in first counselling only I got my choice i.e IITR.

I want Cse but acc to my rank I will get ISM Cse but I have heard that IITR has good coding culture so I chose IITR .Faculty here are good but due to online studies classes sometime feels so boring and we have 180 students in electrical branch.In my guess all professor are well qualified and all have PHD degree and their theaching method is also good.We have 2 exam in semester i.e mid sem and end sem with some in between quiz .Exam is not very tough if u have idea of the topic

Many companies like Google Microsoft, Amazon, flipkart ,uber ,Zomato ,Oracle,sprinkler and many more come in IITR to give internship to 3 yr students .The package they offered is to good and if they liked your work they will give u th ppo i.e pre placement offer.

Every year we can find one or two. packages of worth 1-2 crores but if we talk about avg package for electrical graduate it will lie between 13-14L per annum and almost all the students get placed those who not placed is the student who has plans for startup or ppo.Now I have a plan for getting placement after getting the degree.

Yes, the cost of study is high in IIT but these are premium institutions so they deserve to have high fees. But here are lot more consideration for economic weak student. If the family income is less than 1 L then tution fees is full remissioned and if it between 2-5 L 2/3 of fees is returned .

There are many facilities in IITR like dancing, sports, drama, etc. We have all the equipment and ground for every sport. There is so many campus group here. I want to mention one group which I m part of is CIG i.e corporate interaction group. we are working on building connections with corporate and students of IITR.

Ya as it is a college hostel meal quality is fair enough ya sometimes it's too good but sometimes u have to eat it to fill your stomach. In IITR it is compulsory to live in the hostel so when the college registration process going on with that hostel registration is also takes place. And it cost 90 k approx for while year
