My honest Review for GBPEC

First I have applied for College of technology pantnagar but due to high cutoff i wasnt able to get admission in that college So I have been alloted for GBPEC through my MAINS score To apply for this college you have to form Uttrakhand technical counseling if you are a Student having Uttrakhand domicile or you have completed your class 10th and 12th from Uttrakhand then it would be easy for you to get admission as you have enough seats for to apply I applied under Uttrakhand state counselling seats For this your JEE mains rank must be between 1lakh to 3 lakh you will get branches Accordingly. For admission you have to fill the counseling form and then you have to visit the college on the date of counseling to lock your seat and pay the first semester fees. And you are ready to go. In case you want to change your stream you have to go for another round of counseling as there are three rounds. Your allotment is totally dependent on your MAINS rank

I have a keen Intrest in Electronics and communications so i applied for it. For Electronic engineering there are about 1 faculty per 25 students Teachers are highly qualified Head of department is IIT Phd from IIT kanpur and many teachers are Phd and talking honestly about teaching methods there teachers are quite normal tutors but keep that in mind a few teacher like Balraj singh are quite violent and few teachers like Rajesh Halida are quite Unprofessional they dont have manners like how to talk to students and have low practical knowledge and technical knowledge Term Exams are on time as scheduled in yearly calander and they are of good level you need to have knowledge about them in order to clear the exams

Final year students are eligible for college placement. TCS Wipro are the two companies that visit and select around 20 students They offer you a package of about 3.36 lpa to 7.2 lpa Average package is 4 lpa . Fees structure is quite simple For odd semesters you have to pay 38k per semester and for even semester you have to pay 33k per semester After that hostel and mess fees per semester counts as 13k. For economically weaker students there is Scholarship process in which you will have to pay only 6k tution fees and rest 13k of mess fees per semester. 10% Toppers of each year student are given a scholarship of 5000? per year for their performance. There is no part time job or off campus job that you can do nearby.

Campus Is quite beautiful and is surrounded by the great Himalayas one of the most beautiful campuses in India Goonj and Josh are two fests that are been organized along with Spandhan. Goonj is a cultural fest while josh is a Sports fest. Spandhan is a tech fest. Goonj and spandhan are celebrated in the month of May and Josh is celebrated in October All the fests make college life quite valuable and these fests have a high budget. Books and journals are available in the library in suffices amount You can issue 4 books on your ID per semester and read as many books as you need. But be careful and keep checking that the librarian didn't issue extra books in your name The staff of the library is quite corrupt and will try to make money out of you They scammed me 200 for no reason by adding the extra book to my account. Classes are having smart boards and open comfortable spaces. The rooms are neat and clean. The sports festival is the only time when there are teachers involvement in sports other than that you can play.

Hostels are not good but memories from hostels make it worth living. You will be allotted a shared room with 3 partners during the first year and in the Final year you have a single room per person some rooms are quite beautiful neat and clean and some are not worth living in. Food is good according to the hostel. You will get Rajma aloo parantha butter bread complete Egg curry Papad salad Roti Rasgulle and samosa and chai in evening snacks so food is good no issue with that. You will be allotted a hostel along with your Branch and the hostel charges you 13000 per semester along with the mess. You can't rent a room as it is compulsory to live in hostel.
