Remarks
It was my aim to do an MBA from one of the IIMs but I got offer letters from IIM Jammu, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Kashipur, IIM Amritsar. I choose to join IIM Sambalpur as it is in our state. I availed reservation quota under the Schedule Tribe category during the CAT exam process.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBA is the only course that provides an opportunity to understand how the management of an organisation works and a simple way to land a management role in the industry. In our batch student ratio are 49.4 female and 51.4 male students.
Internships Opportunities
The companies and roles offered under internship vary as per the student's choice. The placement committee takes the responsibility to approach a company and share batch profiles and invites for providing opportunities to the students.
Placement Experience
Mostly from 4th-semester students are sitting for campus placement for various companies. The placement committee has the policy to conduct placement activities. Many eminent companies visit campus for recruitment. You will proper placement data from the college website.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike is not a problem as the management office keeps everything transparent. The cost of the study is better if you compare it with ROI. You can avail scholarships from various Central Government Schemes. The college placement committee is there to assist you in the campus recruitment process.
Campus Life
Campus live very enjoyably but sometimes it becomes hectic. You will get lots of time to do fest activities, curricular activities and sports activities. There are clubs and committees you would be a part of which are run by the students.
Hostel Facilities
All the basic facilities would be provided in the hostel and a few things you have to bring as per your choice. Mess food quality and menu all are decided by the responsible committee and students give their review each month.
Interview Experience
My topic for the written ability test was "Whether Indian Demography Boon or Bane?" And in the interview process panels mostly asked about self introduction and your interest and hobbies and what have done during your college. So the questions revolve around all this but also they ask current affairs and situations based questions.
