Student to Corporate ready @ IIM Kashipur

Placements,Location,New campus and excellent faculty were my prominent reasons to select this college over others. I don't see any negative aspects but location was an important factor too.Used to refer to Pagalguy blogs to make my choice.

1:20 was the faculty to student ratio. All faculties are Phd, FPM candidates from prominent institutes like IIM ahmedabad or from b schools located in US/Europe. Teaching method was prominently through case studies, peer learning,group discussions and projects. The questions for exams were varied such as objective,subjective, open book etc. If one is attentive in class then he/she can clear the exam.

Summer internship at Reliance industries limited,Ahmedabad . We had roles in HR, Operations,finance,Marketing and strategy for the summer internship. Projects involved arounf commercial and procurement efficiency,HR induction process formulation,digital Marketing .The stipend offered was 50k for 2 months in addition to stay and travel costs.

Placements begin from 4th semester onward as soon as a student finishes his/her summer internship after 3rd semester. We had companies like EY,Aditya birla group,HDFC,ICICI,Landmark group,Safexpress,Value labs etc and many more. The whole batch of 180 was given placement offers at the end of the placement season. I got a job in a company based in africa for an international strategy role.

The fee structure consists of both tuition fee, infrastructure fee, placement fee,hostel fee and various other misc fees. I got the scholarship from the ministry of minority affairs for studying in an institute of national prominence,IIM. I secured an internship with reliance for my summers along with stipend and fully paid stay and travel.

We had annual events like Coalescence ,Marketing events as well as various club and committee would keep organizing their relevant events in campus. TEDx IIM kashipur was also one of the prominent event to be held. The library consists of plethora of research journals and business books. The institute had football,volleyball,TT,Cricket teams which participated in various fests. We had about 20 clubs and committees in the institute which were run by students such as Academic committee,Sports committee,Social club-parivartan, Finance , Marketing club, Operations and analytics club and many more.

The hostel life is one of the prominent part of my b school experience. We had a private single room with an attached toilet, 1 bedroom and balcony. A floor had 6 such rooms .The meal quality was good and consistent with hygiene requirements. The registration process was simple and easy.

I faced interview and CAT test for the admission process at IIM. There were 3-4 interview panelists consisting of senior professors who would interview the shortlisted students based on their CAT Score,Work experience,academic and profile. The final merit list consisted of all these parameters.
