Remarks

I applied straight in Drm bhim rao amedkar college affiliated with Delhi university as i got admission in 1st cutoff. Afterwards i did not find other college situate as per my course. I am from general category and do not have any quota. Admission procedure in Ba programme is simple. Best of for marks are to be chosen and i don't think there is any specific age limit . Marks depend as per cutoff of Delhi University , usually it rather from 92 to 98.5 for popular combinations like history pol, eng psychology etc. Admission procedure was simple and as per Du guidelines.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because i wanted to pursue psychology but in hons the cutoff was very high. Afterwards i found that Eng psychology ba prog. Is also a popular course in du . Faculty members are not that helpful in dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar college. Also in online classes children face more problems with this. Student ratio ranges from 40 to 50. Most of the faculty members are having doctorate degree but i found the teaching method not very good. There is no proper explanation of topic , just reading the chapter and giving assignments to complete. Exams are held every semester , as the exams are conducted online it is not difficult to pass . Otherwise also Exams in du are easy

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There is a placement cell in college which helps you to get internships. With paid and unpaid internships. Stipend ranges from 2000 to 8000 . Various projects and tasks are there like content writing, photography, human resource,s, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is not more than 200 300 varying from course to course. It is very very reasonable. For year you just have to spend not more that 12000 excluding hostels or pg. There are several scholarships that are provided to students for pwd students . There is a placement cell in college names as catylst brac which helps in providing internships. Currently i m not doing any internship

Campus Life

4.5

Currently due to covid fests are not being conducted. The library is very good. It's a 2-floor library with many books, newspapers, journals, etc. Classrooms are also well furnished with proper seating arrangements. There are various sorts like volleyball, kho kho, badminton, etc. Also, various societies are there in college Nss, ncc, modeling society, creative society, dance society, music society, and a newly launched mental health society named as sukoon. Also, these help you to enhance your skills and participate in extracurricular activities.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
